Hive's SPK Network Will Eat Your Lunch, YouTube, And You Deserve That!

My first experience ever as a content creators has been with Hive and I'm very glad I started my journey as a blogger as such. As most of you know, Hive is a decentralized blockchain hosting a plethora of Web 3.0 Dapps that are used by thousands of individuals all around the world to upload content online.

Nobody has ever been banned from using Hive or has even seen his content being censored in any way on the blockchain. You can't even do that, even if you wish on doing it.

There are quite a few youtubers all over the world making millions out of their uploaded content on the platform and there's also tons of video content that's worth consuming, that has a minimum relevance in it and it's not to be labeled as misinformation at all. There's also tons of garbage imo, but that's not the topic of the post.

I just recently read an article of The Guardian about YouTube cracking down on harmful content about all approved Covid jabs. Another way of Google owned viedeo streaming platform of showing how easily content can get censored on the platform and what a closed circuit centralized shit YouTube actually is. I personally admit that I have literally decimated my times spent digesting content on that platform since I've been using Hive.

Discussing the actual reason on why YouTube is fearlessly taking down hundreds of thousand of videos discussing harmful effects of vaccines, whether covid or not, is something I'm not going to do in this post. The idea of deciding for your consumers whether a piece of content is harmful for them or not is dystopian though. I bet I could find millions of videos that I consider harmful for plenty of youtube users "unconsciously consuming such harmful content".

This covid pandemic has been used, however, as a catalyst to further increase authorities control over worlds citizens, big data companies being clear tools used in all this carefully planned process. The recent censorship actions of YouTube are definitely gonna benefit decentralized storage networks, Hive being a strong candidate for that matter.

We already have two blockchain alternatives for YouTube type of content, here on Hive, in the name of @dtube and @threespeak and there's already announced the SPK Network, that will facilitate true decentralized storage options for video content creators. Who's going to be able to take down any video stored on the SPK Network? NOBODY.

Hence, YouTube is unconsciously pushing some of its content creators out of its platform towards alternative options that are created on core principles such as decentralization and freedom of speech. Sooner than later "the deplatformed ones" will search for alternatives and here's where Hive's SPK Network will shine for them.

I don't know how many are able to see it, but the urge for decentralized governance systems, blockchain technology and cryptocurrency coming from the majority of the internet users is steaming so hard right now that an explosion is clearly inevitable. @splinterlands has definitely pushed the exposure for Hive to whole different levels and SPK Network will do that even further.

Hive is gradually becoming the blockchain for everything and although alternatives are going to pop out of nowhere, its success is guaranteed at this point. Just look at what traction NFTs have got among the general public and they're such a new concept. Just imagine when most of the content creators will decide to show the middle finger to the establishment and its "kinky apps", moving on the blockchain.

One's loss is another one's gain and in the middle of all the censorship going on right now in traditional social medias, I believe the true gainers are decentralized blockchains such as Hive. Blockchain is empowering individuals all over the world for quite a few years now and it's actually just started. Hive is pretty much on the same level of mass adoption.

Can't wait to shill SPK Network all over centralized twitter, once it's out.

Thanks for attention,
Adrian
