The Money They Make vs. The Money You Make

Bitconnect is probably the biggest and most famous scam in crypto unless FTX has managed to "outperform it" recently. Recalling the times of Bitconnect I still have quite some vivid images of Carlos Santos preaching about the scam(Bitconnect) and how "sucked in" plebs were for his words.

Humans seem to be having the herd mentality quite strongly implemented in the collective consciousness. We have a tendency to follow leaders, crowds, trends, ideas, fear, and so on and so forth. That makes us quite easy to tame. Quite similar to German Shepards :).

However, not most of the "bad profits" or losses that some crypto participants have collected over time are actual scams. Sometimes it's deceiving targets and imaginary scenarios shilled through the media by big names which actually pushed many into the slaughterhouse.

Peter Thiel's Founders Fund sold all of its #Bitcoin by March 2022 for a $1.8B profit - Financial Times
In April 2022 Thiel suggested Bitcoin could 100x from $44K. 🤔

Next time you see something similar put some sell orders on a portion of your portfolio just in case. The same applies to every investment fund, CEO, influencer, and so on and so forth. No one, especially these guys, will come and simply announce buying into a project without previously actually doing that. It makes no sense.

When someone like Peter Thiel, or his FUND manager, comes in front of the camera and says he's buying Bitcoin or that BTC will 100x, 10x or whatever, be sure there's an agenda to his saying. That man has either already filled his bags before announcing to do that or is about to dump when coming with such insane price forecasts.

Crypto influencers do the same. They buy their bags before making them public and start dumping them as plebs enter the market and the price of the tokens keeps on rising. Nothin new here but still, so many fall for such tricks cuz so many are that naive to believe anyone in the world wants the good for them.

If that would be true then Bill Gates would probably feed the poor instead of injecting them with all sorts of vaccines. Folks like Peter Thiel and almost any other crypto influencer rocking hundreds of thousands of followers know their power "of seduction" and they will not hold from using it.

These guys are interested in the money they make, not the money you make. Hence, once Thiel's FUND has finished dumping their Bitcoin they probably started shorting BTC to make even more money out of that show. It's pure business and nothing more than that. So many in crypto are repeating the same mistakes over and over again, unfortunately.

That's about it for today, I hope you've had a great Thursday, and see you next time.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

Wow, really a very strong article dear friend, sometimes big companies push users into a big scam and that's why I don't believe much when I read a news, I always like to invest in projects that are sustainable and decentralized! 🤔🤔

I don't believe a thing the media is telling. They're focused on mass manipulation.

Hey! it sounds something like conspiracy theories! but from my point of view it's true, everybody moves for money, at least companies do, that's what happens, they promote a product or a service and then sell it no matter what happens afterwards, at least that's how I think dear friend, have a nice day! 🥰🥰🥰

Crypto is like New York City, the best of times and the worst of the times.
The greatest thiings in the world are their, but also the basest things in the world are there.
So too crypto.
So many scammers, charlatans and outright thieves are in crypto, and they sit next to people who dream of curing world hunger, or those that want to make identity theft a thing of the past.
It has amazing potential and amazing misuse.
