Planning ahead in Splinterlands
(Edited)
I have gone through the Alpha series, the Beta series and the Untamed series. With all these different editions I have learned that the market for Splinterlands cards changes continuously. It's important to have a long term strategy and to define a plan of action for the game.
In the video I share some important facts about the Splinterlands cards that could give you an advantage 12 months from now...

It's a different perspective but I prefer to just leave it at level 1. I just continue to stack them but I wonder if I will ever go to the max level cards. I think the most profitable leagues is like Silver right now.

I like to develop a card according to my level. At the moment for example I can play a level 8 common card. Once I got this I check rental market and I look what is the best return per BCX. It's often level 1, 2 or 3 according to cards. Then I try to make cards of this level and I rent them out. At a later stage I can then merge them if I can play at level 9 for example.
Ah ok. I think my strategy is more or less to buy cards and have them rented out to gain income passively. Of course I am focusing on a few types of cards right now so I have don't have to keep track of too many prices.

This is something I haven't done previously and ended up paying much more for the upgraded cards later on. This time I haven't done the same mistake. There is always something to learn in Splinterlands I believe. And they keep coming with new stuff to keep us engaged and excited, but it's it very important to plan ahead, if we are smart.
I agree with you, I had developed all my cards up to a certain level and it wasn't far to go to maximize them but I didn't do it and now I regret it because it's impossible to do it at a late stage and I will always have a little handicap while playing against fully developed decks.
You never cease to amaze. I have not even thought past getting to the Bronze2 leagues. You have developed a plan for 12 months in the future that is pretty impressive.
I think I might be safe for now because I am at such a low level.
The funny thing is I know from experience that I will understand this video better as I gain more experience in the game :-)
It's definitely difficult to see how things could be at a higher level but I'm almost sure that if you continue on your path you will be soon playing silver and gold leagues. For that it will be good if you have a long time game plan. Especially also with chaos cards. I see it probably that way because I've gone through such phases several times and I regret now that I didn't take some steps when I could, like maximizing cards when it was cheap to do so.
That is a very smart strategy. Well, more like a business plan. I like developing multiples to be rented out, now that is what I call planning for the future, and it is the near future, not like waiting for a savings bond to mature lol
I like the fact that you can do two things at once: You build assets to rent out and at the same time you work to increase your potential in the game in the long run :-)
