Making money with cheap cards

I have a lot of Splinterlands experience. I started the game when the Beta edition came out and since then, I have seen a lot of editions coming out and getting out of print. I tried to invest into some cards over time and did have very variable success with it. The funny thing is that it's actually with the cheap cards that I made the biggest profits.

This is curious because it should be the other way around. Cheap Cards have more clients and more clients should have less volatility.

It's true but volatility is also linked to the size of the customer base. Very few customers means very specific prices.

Thanks for sharing some history on cards. I have a fair number of rewards cards that I should be able to resale later. It will be interesting to see how land impacts the prices.

It's a great card but I would rather put it in the expensive category. Keeping in mind that it's a summoner :-)

When a human brain is smart, a human does things like you have done. Then a person can use his brain to make good profit even from cheap cards. The way we're seeing a lot of good updates from the Land team on it and good news coming out of Land, we'll see the prices of all things going up in the next few months.

It's a safe bet that without new packs, prices for assets will go up, especially thanks to the land extension.

I agree. The cheap cards with great abilities are amazing. I regret not having more failed summoners. Mine isn't high enough to get tank heal but that would help a lot.

great tips. crystalsmith was a great buy for me. i am looking for cards in riftwatchers that will be useful when more editions fall into wild.

I kind of passed the riftwatchers collection but I think it's a good idea to look for cards with potential there.

Makes so much sense to me!
I've been thinking that even though the supply is much bigger with CL compared to Untamed, I think we might see similar price development with certain cards. Interesting to figure out which ones will be "the next living lavas".

Chaos Knight for example could be one of those being a pretty useful small-ish tank.

In chaos there are plenty of cards that have the same potential. Chaos Knight looks interesting because of it's price but I have my eyes on Chaos Agent which in my opinion has even more potential :-)

I really appreciate you sharing your experience and perspective @achim03! I'm still just barely getting into Splinterlands, with only five cards owned so far, and no battles played yet. I've been mostly collecting assets, and growing SPS and DEC, to be able to effectively play at some point. Obviously I haven't even begun to rent or sell anything yet, but this information is very useful indeed! Thank you! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Splinterlands is a great game and it offers plenty of ways to earn. I would suggest that you take part in many give aways to get some more free cards :-)

Yes, I see that, and I'm getting myself into it in as many ways as I can. I participate in several giveaways every day, which is how I got the cards that I have so far. I still have to learn the cards and the strategies around using them. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
