Tough Decisions to be Successful
I have played a lot of games in my life but Splinterlands was the first play to earn game that I encountered. Never before had I to make so many important decisions regarding a game. With Splinterlands, you don't have only the game aspect, there is also the very important economical aspect that is often at odds with what you would do from a gaming perspective.
So far in my „Splinterlands Career“, I have always put economical objectives above gaming targets but after playing the game for more than 3 years, I would like to get better in the game and go closer to the top.
After thinking about it through for several weeks, I have taken an important decision today that should help me to improve my game play. Check the video to know more about it

Splinterlands is the best game on the hive blockchain and also the most successful
I really love Splinterlands. In 3 years I haven't got tired playing it :-)
Congrats on the maxed Kelya! I know it was a tough call, but that's a great summoner. And you are right, diversity in summoners makes a huge difference during the battles. There is a summoner I especially don't like (because I don't have it leveled up, lol), the one that gives divine shield, and which in some rulesets is almost unbeatable if it's played right.
Do you mean this one?
I agree, it's pretty difficult to defeat it in some rulesets
Yep, that's it. Lorna, I forgot the name.
I've never played, its something ive got to look into.
I'm not a big gamer but because of the financial aspect Splinterlands has me totally hooked :-)
Cool. I've saved your links, maybe I will take a look. 👍
It's full of decisions but what is your view of maxing out cards to get the extra 5% collection power. Would that be worth more compared to renting out individuals?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
The additional 5% collection power is certainly nice to have but for me maxing the card out is really because I need it to be competitive at a higher level.
what is the 5% extra? i do not know about it.
Posted using 1UP - Play2Earn & NFTs
When you max out a card, you get an additional 5% collection points bonus.
for every card?
Yes, for every fully maxed card, there is an additional 5% bonus in collection points.
ok, i am busy now, going to upgrade some. hehe!
Splinterlands is amazing. There's so much for you to do. You can invested into it to earn money !
Splinterlands is a game that you play with cards but at the same time it's also a financial game that you play with real crypto money :-)
That's a tough decision to make, indeed.
Congrats for having a maxed Kelya and good luck in your Splinter battles.
Thanks for your tips too. It is very useful for someone who is new to Splinterlands. I've been playing Splinterlands since last year and still had something to learn from you.

Same here. This is the first P2E I played. I like its economic side. It's difficult at first to understand, but after some time, it started to make sense.
Your collection of leveled-up Summoners is impressive. I still don't have the financial capability to do that. Playing at Silver III, I am still using level 1 Summoners that whenever I encounter higher level summoners on the battlefield, most likely the battle will end up in my defeat.
!PGM
That's one of the most important lessons that I learned in Splinterlands: the summoners are the single most important cards. I'm playing this game for more than 3 years and it's only now that I have fully developed summoners for the first time. You need a lot of patience or a deep pocket to evolve quickly in the game.
Ohhh three years! No wonder you were able to upgrade your summoners. As for me, it's my 9 months now.
Good luck with upgrading your water splinter. Impressive to see you merge so many summoners into one.
Since we last chatted about Splinterlands, when I'd been deliberately ignoring it... I gradually got drawn in, initially attracted by the staked SPS interest rate! Then, as I was regularly logging in to stake SPS, I started randomly playing a few games and losing them... but learning as I went - and the result is that I'm now hooked! LOL!
I'm currently in Bronze I or II, playing with level 1 or 2 summoners. Like you, I buy directly from the market when I find a card I like.
It will take a bit more investment for me to get into the silver league - do you have any tips for surviving in silver? I guess I'll need to level up a lot of my deck.
Thanks!

It's definitely a great game and I think it's definitely worth to spend some time on it. My suggestion is to organically level up your deck. Start with summoners, bring them to level 2, then upgrade the according splinter cards for the cards you play most often. Once you are happy with one splinter, go to the next and do the same. It's a slow process but it works. It just took me about 3 years lol
Congratulations on your kayla!
I don't have max summoner yet because I'm waiting for those legendary summoners. I want to make the best choice so I need to see the stats before making my choice on which one I need to buy.
!CTP
I will definitely also look at these new legendary summoners. I wanted to finish my investment in the normal summoners before they actually come out. So now I have time to save for the first one :-)
Congratz on your Maxed Kelya!
That's my 10th month playing SPL now, feels like longer than that! I think they are expanding a little bit far stretched before solving some base problems but still so many good things coming up.
Thanks for sharing !CTP !PIZZA !HBIT
When you look at everything that they plan to do, it is true that sometimes you get the feeling that there are too many things they are working on :-). On the other hand it's also nice to see that things are happening and so far, everything they announced was implemented even though it took sometimes slightly more time than planned ;-)
Interesting sharing! Yeah there's always the dilemma between the economical aspect and gaming perspective. From another angle, that also makes the game interesting and fun to play because there are so many ways to play this game, i.e. one can go for cards, one can go for rentals, and I know there are players that trade cards day to day on the markets to profit from price movements.
For me that's the reason why I love the game so much. The economical aspect really gives an additional dimension that appeals to me :-)
Yeah man, one of my biggest regrets...Not working on Summoners from the get go. Lesson learned lol
That's a lesson that I have learned as well. Now I always start to develop summoners first and then all the rest :-)
Getting paid to play is unique and doesn't make the games even better. I saw your post on ListNerds because a ListNerd member shared the link to your post in an email. Splinterlands is interesting indeed.
I have been playing the game for a moment now.

It's a great game and it also allows to actually diversify our investments.
