When Hive disrupts an existing industry
There are a lot of business models on the internet that haven't seen much innovation for a long time. One of them is the business model of viral mailers.
Viral mailers are a type of business model that allows you to send e-mails to other members of the program. To send e-mails, you need credits that you earn by reading e-mails of other users.
A new way to earn on Hive
Now you take such an old business model and you mix it with the Hive blockchain. That's what @blainjoines and @jongolson have done. They took the basic concept of Viral Mailers and they combined it with Hive to create a new version of Listnerds. Bringing the viral mailers to a totally new level. Now when you read your e-mails, you not only get rewarded in credits, you also get crypto! And you also get crypto when you send your e-mails and when you stake your tokens on the website.
To cash out your tokens, you simply send them to hive-engine where they are traded. No transaction costs, no minimal withdrawal limits... The whole perfection on hive brought to viral mailers!
You receive and read the e-mails on site and therefore you won't be bothered in your traditional e-mail inbox. If you want to earn some money, just login and if you don't want, you don't.
With a free account, you can send e-mails every 7 days. You can use these e-mails for whatever reason that you want. I believe it's a great way to actually promote your posts on Hive to a wider audience of Hive users.

There is a big section with tutorials that will help you to find your way and to understand the page. Once you have linked your account with your hive account, you can simply log in with hive keychain.

Amazing innovation. My first thought was to take this to our Marketing partner and ask them about doing a trial with this. My second thought was sad to say that's probably not worth the effort to point them towards it as they are not the most forward thinking. We still run adds in print and radio 😅
Haha, that's a good point. I see a lot of small companies to go on running ads in newspapers and traditional media. It's a first try and this is probably still a bit too complex for many to understand but it goes into the right direction.
Hive is being placed in the center of a number of different industries and can really cause some disruption.
It is good to see the development starting to branch out. I am going to watch how Listnerds progresses over the next few months.
Hopefully the results will be quick. It is something that can catch on rather quickly I believe.

When such big steps are taken, things often develop differently than planed. I believe that such a project might actually attract a lot of people from hive as well. I'm looking forward to seeing how it will evolve.

I like how they upgraded the site to include rewards. I need to take time to update my emails on Listnerds. They seem to have been broken in the transition.

It sounds interesting and it's a different perspective that I didn't think of. So you can promote anything you wish and it doesn't have to be business related I guess.

Thanks for sharing. This is an interesting concept. I was just wondering if it could be vulnerable to spam emails (or even phishing emails), like the ones we get in our normal emails, e.g. Gmail, where it goes into spam folder.
Since all the e-mails are visible only on the platform, everybody who uses the platform needs an account to send the e-mails. I don't think somebody would use his hard earned credits to send spam. But you are always free not to open the link in the e-mail.

If the platform gets big enough, it will definitely be a nice solution!
