I think the reducing interest in DEC started a while ago and those who wanted to sell large quantities mostly did so already. Why DEC might lose more value after the airdrop is over is because of Riftwatchers, which can only be purchased with SPS, so I assume enough DEC will be exchanged to SPS for that.
I know some big DEC whales that are waiting for the end of the airdrop to move either towards packs or towards SPS. I agree that people started to part with their DEC already but I think we haven't reached the peak yet.

It's difficult to predict how much impact it will have on cards but I think they will certainly be cheaper after the airdrop than before the airdrop.

I wonder after the airdrops will there be something else. Introduce some incentives to make SPS rise in price !
Yes there will be with the new promo collection Riftwatcher that will come out. These packs will only be available using SPS and vouchers. This will give a new use case to SPS.
