The fact that those kinds of scams exist make it hard to reffer people to serious things. For example, Dash Text have a promotion from time to time, earning 0.5$ to refer somebody. Despite is about Dash and not other rare thing, a lot of people look at me strange when I try to reffer them.

yep because whenever people hear or see referral links they consider it a scam or a pyramid scheme!
