Hello everyone, I'm so excited to welcome you all to a new year. This year is going to be a year of blessings for everyone.
Today is the first Hive Power Up Day of the year, this is a great day. The activities have started again and I'm making a sharp beginning this year.

It will be challenging, but I will try my best to meet the goals I have previously set for this year regarding how to increase my Hive power.
Hive power demonstrates your standing within the community as well as your level of dedication to the community.

I had 182 HP at the end of 2022.

I power-up 15 Hive, now I'm having 197.548 HP

I have set my 2023 Hive goal to reach 1200 HP at the end of the year. Next HPUD, I will power up at least 100 Hive, so that I can stay on track for my goal.
I want to grow my HP very well this year so that I can leave the status of low Hive power.

To my opinion, three factors determine Low Hive power, which are :

1. A newbie

2. Power-down

3. Lack of determination

   A Newbie

This is a newcomer in the ecosystem, just like I am. I have only participated in Hive Power up, this will be my fourth participation. I Power -up twice in November last year because I couldn't wait till the 1st day of December, so I did another power-up mid-November. Then on the 1st of December 2022, I participated in HPUD( that was my first official power-up day).

Therefore as a newbie, I'm still having low hive power, but with determination and consistency, the hive power will grow with time.

   Power-down

Financial problems can occasionally arise, which causes many Hivers to power down their hive power, thereby losing their hive power. Some will power down a little hive, while some will power down all their Hive power. They will thereby restart again. This is another reason why some are having low Hive power.

 Lack Of Determination

Another significant reason for low Hive power is because some Hivers are undetermined. Some people lack discipline; they withdraw all their earnings often and they have nothing to power up at the beginning of the month.
Some people used to take part in the HPUD irregularly.
Because of this, some Hivers have low Hive power.

Reasons Why Power-Up Is
Important

Community Influence:The greater your hive power, the greater your influence within the community, and the greater respect you will possess.

You will earn more rewards on curations.

Anytime your hive power is high, you can delegate to some communities to generate passive money from your hive power. So, thanks to your delegation, you will receive daily prizes.

Therefore, by increasing your hive power, you are doing yourself a huge favour because it will start generating passive income for you as soon as possible.
Create the habit of taking part in every Power Up Day throughout the year. You will benefit greatly from this as your hive power increases.
