LET'S TALK ABOUT PEACE (hl-w37e2)

Go to the news papers, is all about war that they talk about everyday. Go to the social media, ( face book, telegram, WhatsApp and their likes) you will hear nothing but war: killings here and there. Natural and man made disaster has not been left behind here. No country in the whole world today that doesn't talk about war. And it is done on daily basis. So what will be my message to everyone?

Sorry for starting that way. Courtesy demand that I greet everyone first before moving to the topic at hand. Forgive my manners. Is just that when you look around the world, you don't even know who to blame. But let's move away from that and go straight to the discussion of the day.

For this week 37, edition 2. We are asked to "Talk"

*If you were given 15 minutes and an audience, and you were to give them a talk on any topic of your choice, what will you talk to them about?

For me, PEACE is the only thing I think I would love to talk to people about. The Holy Book says - Luke.10.5 "And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house". Giving peace talk to people for fifteen minutes will do our world a lot of good. People need to hear about peace. If we learn how to make peace with each other, I believe that the world will be a better place.

There is hatred everywhere. People hate each other because of religious beliefs, tribalism, race and color. I believe that the message of peace will help us see ourselves as one people only that we belong to different religion, tribe, race and also have different colors which we did not bargain for. But God decided to put us into any country, religion, race that pleases him alone. All we need to do is accept each other the way we are and we will all be fine.

Why that particular topic? And what does it mean to you?*

Why? Because PEACE is what will save the world of the coming danger that loams everywhere. There is fear in the heart of most people today. People sleep with one eye open. Some are even afraid of traveling because of the fear of the unknown. But if I have the opportunity of telling people about living in peace with each other, I will change their mentality. What we all stand to gain if we live in peace. I believe that it will help stop the evil that is being perpetuated by people in our society.

WHAT IT MEANS TO ME.
I believe that from my topic this should be for us to give the answer to ourselves. When we have peace, does it mean anything to us? Yes. Peace brings us together as one. Peace helps us to communicate with each other as one. Peace gives room for people to live long lives. everyone stands to gain alot when there is peace everywhere.

To crown it all, I will advise us all to make it a point of duty to lead a peaceful life. Make peace with people around you. Start with yourself and neighbors. If this is done, then we can all have a happy life. We can also start sleeping with our two eyes closed.
