Memories of yesteryears.

Everyone that is grown up today has childhood experiences. Because we were once kids. Though our experiences differs from each other. This is probably because we all grow up in different places, had different backgrounds, used different languages, had different norms and believes, had different colors, from different countries, and different races.

*Take us back to your childhood, tell us the earliest memory you have. The clearest one that you have as a child. 👈

Talking about childhood memories, I have ots of them to share. When I get to know about this topic I started asking myself which to share. Because I went through a lot of people that affected me positively and also negatively.

Growing up as a child, I had more of bad experiences than good ones. But even when my experiences are not too palatable for me, I still thank God for being alive today to share my experiences. Some kids that I envied while we were growing up because they had all the good things that life can offer, have gone six feet blow and I am still here alive to give God glory for my life.

Moving straight to our topic for week 38 edition 3, which is -

Your Earliest Memory

I will like to share one of the experience that I had when I was a little girl. I was just between the age of five and six years still with my mother in the village. My mother asked me to go to a neighbor's house to deliver a message to an uncle. The distance from my house to the place is about 150 miters. I agreed to go as a very good girl that I am. Hahaha 😄. On reaching to the house, I delivered the message to my uncle. But I decided to stay a little longer and play with the kids in the house. You know kids and play. Hahaha 😄. But I observe that while we were playing, one man was busy monitoring when I will go from inside his house. As a little girl, I was too innocent to suspect any evil coming my way.

After playing for some time I decided to go back home. But when going home, this man that has been monitoring me started following me. I kept moving ignorantly and got o a point where there are much bushes, I suddenly noticed that the man started running after me. When I noticed that I quickly stopped thinking that I left something in their house. When he finally got to where I was, he asked me to follow him to the bush to see something that he will show me. Friends, as I mumu reach, I follow oh. But God knows that I was a little girl and made a way to save me from that wolf. As we went into the bush, I saw this man pulling his trouser and he asked me to come closer to him. I immediately know that there is danger, but I don't know what it is. Fear just overtook me and the only thing that came to my mind was 'RUN' I started running as fast as my little tiny legs can carry me. Before the man could put back his trouser and ran after me as I was already at my house. Because I did not know what he planned to do, I never told anyone about it till I grew up to understand that that man wanted to rape me that day. That experience reoccurred up till three times as I was growing up with different men old enough to be my fathers, but none of those men succeeded in raping me.

THE MARK IT LEFT ON ME
✍️ As a mother, I never allowed my daughters when they were still growing up to get too close to their uncle. I always love to be close to them.

Let us have a picture of who you could have been when you were little.* 👈

Maybe I would have been badly affected by that incidence it that man succeeded. I know of some kids that never survived child abuse like rape. Some died at the spot. Those that survived it were left with a mark that they carried all their lives. Some even developed phobia for sex because of it.

To cap it all, parents should please watch over their children especially the girl child, because they are more vulnerable to such attacks.

Thanks for stopping by.
Still your humble friend @adaezeinchrist .

What areas and lesson learnt too. Hehehe

Come to talk about rape. Only God can help. I still wonder why married men would still run after little girl of the daughter age. I still hear of those that are not married though totally a bad act. But speechless when it comes to married men.

Good you have to get closer to your daughter. I am pray they find more love in what you have for them.
