Final part : social media and SME myth.

Dear Hivers

This is the last and final part of the SME myth regarding social platforms.

Myth # : it always works
There is no magic: a social media presence is not going to save your business or boost your sales! If the basics of your communication aren't solid , your social media presence will result in a masterful flop.

Above all, you need to have an attractive site and interesting content that is regularly updated (via a blog for example) so that people want to share it on social networks.

You need to create your web ecosystem:

your site is the heart of this system: it is used to inform and present your company, your products and your services;
your blog regularly nourishes, inspires and informs your customers: it allows you to make you (re) known as an expert in your field;
social networks are used to spread this information and to converse with your customers, to entertain them, to reach them… in short, to show and enhance the human side of your business;
regular emails will then take over to promote your business and remind your customers they can count on you.
You must therefore relentlessly interest, convince, inspire , engage in conversation to develop a community of passionate people around your business. And, of course, it takes time, commitment and persistence.

In conclusion,
Consumer habits have changed. Everyone take out all the information before making a buy online. They use search engines to do this, they visit sites and blogs and ask for the opinion of their acquaintances and discuss with other Internet users on social networks, on forums, etc.

If you think that a web and social presence is not for you, you take the risk of being overtaken by competitors who will have invested the place before you and will know better than you the expectations of the customers since they will have answered their questions or taken into account their suggestions.

The key to success is in the chosen strategy: quality content, published regularly, in the right place and at the right time and a marked interest for your interlocutors which results in a sustained dialogue. This is sure to attract new customers.
