Part 2 : Social Media and myth.

Dear Hivers

This is a second part of the yesterday blog article.

Myth # : it's free
Planning, creating content, optimizing it , publishing it on multiple platforms takes time. And time is money .

In many cases, free tools to manage and control data are not enough to provide you with the knowledge you need to effectively manage, filter, and leverage that data.

To convert fans into prospects or to retain customers, it takes more than an episodic presence on Facebook or Twitter. To be effective, your social media marketing must be based on a real strategy and the implementation of a specific plan.

It costs nothing to create a business page on Facebook, tweeting is free, but defining a content strategy and developing the ecosystem necessary to support your marketing effort requires an investment of time and a budget.

Blog writing is not for everyone. Better to entrust this task to the pros. Creating professional videos and photos also costs money. And it is not amateurish work that will make your brand image shine.

Just because the tools are free and accessible to everyone, therefore, doesn't mean that social media marketing is free.

Myth # : it's Facebook
Because Facebook dominates the social media scene with nearly a billion users, some companies believe it's the only network that matters. False! Did you know that on Facebook less than 15% of your updates are visible to your followers?

If you have contact in B2B, LinkedIn is very good to expand. And this B2B is more viral then any other social media network.

Twitter can allow you to create a targeted group faster and easier than Facebook.

YouTube is a must if you have products to show and processes to explain.

The emergence of a visual web also explains why networks like Instagram and Pinterest are attracting more and more people. Case studies show that Pinterest is sometimes more effective than Facebook for social commerce.

In short, once again, a preliminary study is necessary to determine where you have the most chance of meeting your (future) customers. Because social networks should not make you forget the basics of marketing.
