I don't know if you are serious, but when I re-entered the job market (I hate that term, re-entered) I took a series of part-time or temporary jobs. It was actually great fun. The pay was low and so was the responsibility. I got to see the underside of so many different employment cultures: banking, retail baking, telecommunications, cable TV, supermarket support, cold call selling. The list goes on. The jobs were all fun because they didn't matter. It was almost like an experiment. It was a great test of character--the character of those around me--to see how I was treated. The really rotten people treated me badly, because they thought I had no power and no prestige. The really nice people were kind and considerate. One employer actually threatened to kill me when I made a typo (that was a secretarial job).

I don't know if the IRS would be fun. They seem like a serious organization and they have a long reach. I wouldn't mess with them.

Sorry for the long answer. Your post brought back memories of a peculiar period in my life.

It was a thought since they mentioned seasonal opportunities.
