🎄 The Great Christmas Carvinal - Fun Fair in Cambodia ⛄️

Hello, dear friends!

A Christmas day. Many Cambodian enjoy this celebration because it is an exciting day when we all can see the beautiful decorations, and exchanging an amazing gift with each other. Today, I want to share with you my visiting to Christmas event in a shopping mall calls Aeon.

First, we saw the beautiful decorations everywhere in the mall. The lights were so bright that we could hardly see anything else, but it looks like glass, so clear everywhere.

The Aeon Mall Mean Chey is a mall that can be found in the suburbs of the city. It has three campuses, first campus is in Phnom Penh (center), second is in Sen Sol and the last on is Mean Chey where I am visiting now it is considered to be a tourist destination for both locals and province visitors alike.

I was invited by my niece to go together. It took us about 15 minutes from our house to reach there. Well! There are also many different events that happen every year during Christmas season. However we choose to go at this mall.

For me, I was happy with the atmosphere there however I think it should be better space to walk if I visit here on Monday. Obviously it is Sunday and the importance thing is it Christmas celebration day, so there is more crowded. I have to accept that this new opening mall has attracted many people from all over Cambodia.

The mall first opened its doors last week, and I saw a lot of post on social media review about this mall, and that it became widely known as one of the most popular shopping destinations in Cambodia. Today, more than a thousand people visit.

The mall's popularity is due to several factors. For my opinion I think it because of its size (it's over 1 km big) its location within a large urban center, and its reputation for being clean, new brand opening and decoration —especially since it's built with the high amount of funds.

Christmas 🎄 Funfair Stall ⛄

Every stall here looks so aesthetic, most of the exhibit is chocolate. That is what I am thinking about of visiting this spot during Christmas. Well, we prepared chocolate and I love how they just combined chocolate with a Matcha too. I think for those who love Matcha, this place is a good choice for them. Well, I have try Matcha drink at many shop, however I haven't try any cake with Matcha yet, also I am not sure is it tastes good. I am please if you can review some of your experience about Matcha.

Now, my niece and I have ordered the chocolate bar one with 1.35 $.

Well, the price is acceptable and I got the small one.

More choice and it comes with a very good package. I love the house cake so much. I didn't expect someone can bring this great hand made cake like this snow house Christmas. I really can't imagine how they actually created and design it, but I am sure they are talented and the creative person ever.

As Cambodian, I always start an exchange gift time and interact with Santa clause. It is a great way to celebrate Christmas in our area. Also, Can I know some details how you celebrate Christmas in your area.

In Cambodia, when any ceremony involved with exhibition like this, they always come up with local business. They actually invite the local business who own a brand and they actually provide a space for them to show their good. I really love to see hand made Craft and Food. Hand made food is also something I love to eat I just want to try it and want to know how it is compared to the one comes from factory.

I actually thought this craft was food or cake for eating. I mean, what else would a cake look like?

But then I asked the seller, and she said it's actually a real plant that's used to decorate the house. I was so confused and embarrassed at the same time after I just found out the fact.

Khmer Traditional Dessert

For the last few days, I have also been to the local market which is Takhmao open air market and have seen some Khmer traditions dessert like this. To me as a Khmer dessert lover I really enjoy the kind of products that they sell. One thing that caught my eye was the banana coconut milk pudding, most of dessert using Banana leaf for carrying the sweet. When I came across these products, I was amazed at how unique the quality and texture they were. These are things that you will not find anywhere else, which is what makes them so special.

I love seeing hand made desserts because it shows how much effort people put into their work. I also like seeing hand made crafts because they are so unique and beautiful!

Ice-Cream Cards 🍦👧

When I was a kid about 6 years old, my favorite thing to do was wait for the ice cream old man to come by with his motorbike with cards. At that time, the ice cream didn’t include with so many flavors, but it was always such a treat!

I remember waiting for him to show up, and when he did, I'd run out and get myself some ice cream. My grandma would always give me money whenever I ask so that I could buy some for her too.

It's funny how those memories stay with me forever. I can still remember what the ice cream tasted like and how excited I felt when it was finally time to eat.

I'm excited to share with you my experience of visiting Aeon Mall's Christmas event! It was an exciting day that I will never forget.
