I want #NFT to succeed... But not like this...

Most #nfts will become worthless (in terms of price,) so why add more to the junk when you could make something useful?

NFTs have so much potential. As a self-published fiction author who doesn't do paper and doesn't really do well on Amazon compared to other channels, I'm growing increasingly annoyed with DRM for books. In theory NFTs could lift DRM to a whole new level and free it from the nightmare of semi-ownership. There are so many things a reader can't do with an ebook that they can do with a paper book, that NFTs could make possible. You cant lend an ebook to someone, you can't sell it, can't give it away. It's even a pain to move your own books to a new e-reader.

Think the same would be valid for games too. DRM based and platform based ownership have absolutely horrible user experience. Think the guys talking in this video don't realize just how horrible that user experience is, and how valuable it would be for both creators and consumers to be able to improve that user experience.

The problem this video introduced to me about video game NFT-based DRM, is the fact that companies have to agree first to make their products available as NFT & regulate the NFT-space for copyright protection.

Or the whole ownership & copyright system has to change...

I do agree about the potential and theory... It just isn't working right now, and the NFT-people are trying to direct the technology to a direction I don't like. (A greed-based one.) While with more work, it could become something that benefits a lot of us.~

This is true as with most things. In the beginning, there is a massive boom and people pay stupid money for things like beanie babies or pokemon cards. The NFT market will be no different.
That is why I try to buy NFTs that people will use like Splinterlands NFTs for example. As long as people are playing the game they will be worth something.

I do the same...

The only NFT art I bought are ones I knew the artist, and I know how'll they appreciate the initial purchase, I don't expect the ones I bought to be bought from me.
