Am I on Proof of Brain for love or for being in my comfort zone?

POB has not been as profitable for me financially for some time. However, I like the content I see around here. Also, I'm used to the people at Proof of Brain, I can think of a lot of names of writers that I really enjoy reading, interacting with, and voting for.

I've thought several times about seeking out other communities, interacting with other spaces, but I still haven't identified with another community that gives me the freedom and variety of content that I have available at Pob.

At Pob, while browsing the feed quickly, I can see several subjects from different authors, a real showcase of random and cultural themes and I really love it here. I cannot find this in any other community. The way POB is attracts a lot of people and I'm sure like me they feel free to talk about what they want knowing that there will be someone who will genuinely engage with their content.

But when it comes to money, if you don't have a lot of voting power, the curation rewards won't be so good, and because the pob value has been so low for some time, the value you can earn on a post decreases considerably.

It saddens me a little that I like this community so much, I dedicate myself only to it and feel that it has so much potential but is growing at a slow pace. Maybe I'm here at POB because I really know a lot of people, because I'm used to the kind of content I see here, but I can say with certainty, I'm also here because I like being because I have a special affection for this community. And because I love her, I would like to see her grow more and return to bringing financial abundance to everyone as it was in the beginning.

Some can comment in this post that this process that we are going through with such a low price is part of it, others can comment on the lack of a token use case, whatever it is, I think we need to fight harder to reaffirm ourselves as a community; We like being part of POB, I'm sure of that, but what do we do for it? What can we do to make it rise from the ashes?

Let's think about it for a moment! I'm sure you believe in POB as I do, but is belief alone enough?

Good questions and after 5 hours still no comments. POB was created as an experiment. I don't expect anything more than a place to have a voice... Maybe POB feels more like a pub where we can talk and chat. That's great but we don't have any techinical support to even host a chat group.

When we say "I believe"... We need to ask ourselves what we actually believe in. Another question is, "Why do I choose to spend my time here?" It is a comfotable community. Most of us are he because believe in a decentralized network with equal distribution of rewards. This has up points and down points. The up point is the rewards are available to everyone. The down point is there is no central leader to move the community or bring development and use value. It is you and me and a hundred or so consistent members who will determine what happens here.

On a very practical level I'm considering working with an artist in videos and book illustrations. Maybe some kind of collaboration can help the POB community in the short term. I'd like to know more about what talent is here and how we can help each other.

I couldn't agree with you more @mineopoly your words sum up well what I think of the community and what I hope will happen.

POB was driven by great profitability. But peolpe kept complaining about any measure taken to increase the price of POB. I don't think there is anything we can do. The APR of POB is still pretty great, but nobody is buying POB while most are trying to take profits.

I'd advice you to go to splinterlands for profit and POB for the heart. :)
Splinterlands is currently the hive project, that pays the best.

I make some money with Splinterlands by selling some cards or even by selling some sps... But I don't like to play the game so it's a little more complicated for me to write about it.

I understand your feelings, and in many ways I share them.

This is a comfortable community of like-minded people who believe in a decentralized network with equal distribution of rewards available to everyone according to their abilities and contributions.
And it has tremendous internal potential, which is increasing every day.

And I agree with @mineopoly that the big difficulty is that there is no main leader who would unite, guide and develop the community not only internally, but also actively promote it externally. And I think that @proofofbrain won't be, no matter how much he is asked, because it seems to me that he took the same position as Satoshi Nakamoto did with bitcoin - "I gave you an opportunity, and you, as a decentralized society, together do what you want with it".

And if inside the community active and competent participants can still create some movement and development, then there is simply no one to deal with the development of the project outside the community. This requires some special knowledge of advertising, marketing, PR, etc. specifically in the cryptocurrency industry.
It is necessary to attract and motivate such specialists, and by combining visions and efforts to develop the project together.
