I thought long and hard about what movie to select for the last theme and I decided to pick the movie Interstellar. It is a Sci-Fi drama film by Christopher Nolan. It begs the real qs here, how is this movie artistic?

The artistic elements shot at the planet called Millers Planet which the main protagonists attempt to reach as well as the scene where a fictional black hole called Gargantua is shown made me appreciate this movie a lot. It was the first time I watched a sci-fi movie about space which put in more effort in physics concepts for anyone who is a space lover. I will put some screenshots of the scenes I enjoyed a lot.

Hans Zimmer was the music composer for this movie which added a significant layer of artistic element to the scenes which makes the audience feel emotions of impending doom during critical scenes where the life of the protagonists are jeopardized in space. I wish I could make a whole post for this movie due to its brilliance in its artistic accuracy for a lot of space elements such as black hole, tesseract (a cubic shaped dimension where you can see past, present and future) and millers planet.

I highly recommend you give this movie a shot. I have watched it thrice.

Millers planet is the first destination the spacecraft visits! Hahahahha I won't go more into the significance about it because I don't want to spoil anything 🤣

I hope you enjoy it to the max whenever you get a chance to watch it!

Initially I found it a bit of a drag because I wasn't understanding all of the concepts that were being talked about but when I watched it again after googling things here and there, my understanding improved.

It really surprised me that you chose this movie for this theme. I've never looked at it from an artistic perspective, but it's really beautiful. This is my favorite sci-fi movie, I've watched it several times and I always get emotional.

Many movies potray art in their content and Woody Allen's midnight in Paris is an example.

The movie revolves around art work.

Above is one of the images from the movie.
I was particularly intrigued by the art works in the movie. You could also check It out if you'd love to catch a glimpse too.

Thanks as you do so.

The cinematographic art combined with another branch of art such as painting reminds me of the film of the so recognized and famous Frida Kalo. A Mexican artist who spends part of her life prostrate on her bed and dedicates herself to painting and painting herself as she has many self-portraits of her in different situations. A film that has no waste. I hope you enjoy it!

I watched the trailer and I really think you have nailed the theme with your suggestion!

The movie Frida matches both art meets drama nicely and I do like Salma Hayek too 😂

Yes, it is one of the films that is closely related to art for her, if the protagonist Frida played by Salma who is a great actress. I hope you can see it! And then you tell me!!

Watch from exactly 2 hours into the movie. It's about a misunderstood artist and it is about the art of teaching. A boy with dyslexia is specially gifted in art but nobody knows until he meets a teacher who takes the time to find out. The movie "Like Stars on Earth" is inspiring to me as an artist and a teacher.

It's a lot of fun to watch and as a teacher and father of a special kid I was glad to see this boy's talents come to life. It's just a movie but still I love to imagine. I think it is the only Bollywood film I have ever seen.

I have seen this movie, I always can't get enough of it. It really inspired me. On a normal some teachers may have ignored the boy but that particular teacher didn't.

How the movie ends always gets me shading tears of joy..
Thanks for bringing it up as as suggestion.

There are so many movies with arts in it, as a lover of Korean dramas, I decided to search for one of my favorite kdrama with arts titled "Painter Of The Wind"

The movie portray a young girl who loves to paint and was so good at it especially when she got to meet a superior in painting. She had to disguise as a boy to get into the art school and paint for the country.... It wasn't easy for her but she pushed through with the help of her superior who later falls in love with her.

Her paintings are so amazing, I will suggest you go through the trailer and see for yourself.

It was fun going through this contest with you all, all the best to us.

In today theme of the POB Art contest ; i present to you the great "Black Panther"

This is a 2 hours plus, A historical movie full of arts right from the Name, story lines, costumes. From beginning to the very end. If you haven't see this movie yet, you will really want to see it. You will be thrill and amaze by the power of arts and imaginations.
My favourite catch line;
"Don't freezes
I never freezes"

This my comment is dedicated to the late great actor of the movie Chadwick Boseman, who died last year and who before his death put smiles and inspired thousands of his fans across the Globe. May his gentle soul continue to rest in peace 💖.
