Bonsoir et joyeux week-end amis de HIVE ! Aujourd'hui, je vous parle du Triangle Ayakashi de Maître Kentaro Yabuki.

Mon point de vue

Du maître Kentaro Yabuki (ancien auteur de Chat Noir et To Love Ru), j'aime les intrigues toujours renouvelées, qui savent mêler (surtout avec les derniers ouvrages) action, plaisir. De ce grand mangaka, j'aime surtout les dessins, caractérisés par un trait doux d'une sensualité inouïe, avec lesquels il met en scène des personnages pour le moins enchanteurs. Eh bien, le maître dédie cette série aux esprits japonais.

Les Ayakashi sont des esprits et des petits monstres qui errent dans le monde de Matsuri et Suzu, deux amis d'enfance qui ont toujours eu affaire à ces êtres étranges : lui en tant qu'apprenti ninja exorciste, elle simplement parce qu'elle possède des capacités médiumniques innées grâce auxquelles elle noue des amitiés étranges et farfelues avec les esprits. En bref, la vie des deux enfants a toujours été suspendue entre la réalité et le monde des rêves, mais bientôt, avec l'arrivée d'un puissant chat Ayakashi, cette normalité est soudainement mise en péril. Par la faute du perfide démon-chat Shirogane, Matsuri se retrouve avec un corps de femme, obligé de vivre une nouvelle vie qui, par la volonté du chat, risque de l'éloigner de son amie Suzu, qui semble éprouver plus que de l'amitié pour le jeune exorciste...

Les personnages

Dès le début, Yabuki sensei nous présente une distribution diversifiée, en commençant par les deux amis d'enfance, puis en élargissant aux différents Ayakashi et nouveaux amis du lycée. Matsuri et Suzu prennent évidemment les devants, bien que (ceux qui ont lu les précédents ouvrages de l'auteur le savent) d'autres personnages remettent en question leur rôle de protagonistes en s'insérant constamment dans leur vie quotidienne. Mais attardons-nous un instant sur Matsuri et Suzu : deux amies d'enfance dont le lien dépasse la simple amitié et deux personnages différents qui savent néanmoins trouver de nombreux points de contact. Matsuri est courageuse et entreprenante, prête à tout pour protéger son amie et apparaît donc souvent un peu impétueuse et méfiante envers les autres ; Suzu, par contre, aime les sucreries par-dessus tout et avec cette passion ne peut qu'être pure et bonne, mais surtout ouverte à la confrontation et aux nouveaux liens. Leur point de rencontre est précisément ce monde spirituel que l'un accueille et que l'autre rejette (ou exorcise) qui, j'en suis sûr, les rapprochera de plus en plus, malgré le changement de sexe (et l'arrivée de nouveaux personnages qui tenteront de leur mettre des bâtons dans les roues... évidemment).

L'histoire

Cette fois, l'histoire ne démarre pas de manière aussi explosive que To Love Ru (ou To Love Ru Darkness), mais prend son temps pour présenter les personnages et le monde onirique qu'ils habitent tous les deux. Cette fois, l'élément d'action typique du shonen est mélangé en plus grande quantité avec l'élément ecchi typique du maître : le premier volume, par exemple, se concentre davantage sur les scènes d'action et les combats avec les yokai, plutôt que sur les moments chauds et les tripotages auxquels le maître nous avait habitués dans les séries précédentes. Cependant, les moments d'introspection ne manquent pas dans une série shonen comme celle-ci, et Yabuki sensei nous l'a toujours montré : dans To Love Ru Darkness, par exemple, si Yami était constamment victime des tripotages involontaires de Rito et des accès de colère qui en découlaient, le personnage faisait toujours ressortir les différentes nuances de son cœur et de son âme, souvent troublés par un monde qu'il ne sentait pas totalement sien. Cette fois, par exemple, c'est Suzu qui manifeste ces troubles du cœur, submergée par les premiers flottements et la confusion que la présence de Matsuri génère dans son quotidien (notamment scolaire).

Les dessins

Quant aux dessins... eh bien, il me faudrait ici faire un autre article explicatif divisé en plusieurs tranches, car il y a tant à dire et à analyser sur les dessins du maître. Mais si je dois être bref, je m'attarderai sur le " changement " de registre adopté pour cette œuvre : le trait reste doux et voluptueux, avec les touches désormais bien connues des courbes féminines que le maître sait si bien faire, mais si l'on regarde de près, on remarque une nette simplification du trait, typique des shonen hebdomadaires, qui, malgré tout, ne perd pas le mordant typiquement yabukien. En bref, les dessins sont peut-être "simplifiés", mais ils ne perdent en rien leur charme et leur attrait !

Conclusions

Cette œuvre du maître, sortie début 2022, me plaît beaucoup et je suis déjà à la recherche des prochains tomes. Hautement recommandé !

Good evening and happy weekend friends of Hive! Today I am talking to you about Master Kentaro Yabuki's Ayakashi Triangle.

My point of view

Of master Kentaro Yabuki (former author of Black Cat and To Love Ru) I love the ever-changing plots, which know how to mix (especially with the latest works) action, fun. Of this great mangaka I especially love the drawings, characterised by a soft line of unprecedented sensuality, with which he brings out characters that are, to say the least, enchanting. Well, the master dedicates this series to Japanese spirits.

The Ayakashi are spirits and little monsters that roam the world of Matsuri and Suzu, two childhood friends who have always had to deal with these strange beings: he as an apprentice ninja exorcist, she simply because she possesses innate mediumistic abilities thanks to which she makes strange and wacky friendships with the spirits. In short, the lives of the two kids have always been suspended between reality and the dream world, but soon, with the arrival of a powerful Ayakashi cat, this normality is suddenly jeopardised. Through the fault of the treacherous demon-cat Shirogane, Matsuri finds himself with a female body, forced to live a new life that, by the cat's wish, may distance him from his friend Suzu, who seems to feel more than just friendship for the young exorcist...

The Characters

Right from the start, Yabuki sensei introduces us to a diverse cast that starts with the two childhood friends and then expands to the various Ayakashi and new high school friends. Matsuri and Suzu obviously take the lead, even though (those who have read the author's previous works will know this) other characters put a strain on their role as protagonists, constantly slipping into their everyday lives. But let us dwell for a moment on Matsuri and Suzu: two childhood friends with a bond that transcends mere friendship and two different characters who nevertheless know how to find many points of contact. Matsuri is courageous and enterprising, ready to do anything to protect her friend and therefore often appears a little impetuous and distrustful towards others; Suzu, on the other hand, loves sweets above all else and with this passion cannot but be pure and good-hearted, but above all open to confrontation and new bonds. Their meeting point is precisely that spiritual world that one welcomes and the other rejects (or exorcises) which, I am sure, will bring them closer and closer, despite the change of sex (and the arrival of new characters who will try to put a spoke in their wheels... obviously).

The story

The story this time does not start off as explosive as To Love Ru (or To Love Ru Darkness), but takes its time in introducing the characters and the dream world they both inhabit. This time the action element typical of shonen is mixed in greater quantities with the ecchi element typical of the master: the first volume, for example, focuses more on action scenes and fights with yokai, rather than the hot moments and groping that the master had accustomed us to in the previous series. However, there is no lack of introspective moments in a shonen series such as this, and Yabuki sensei has always shown us this: in To Love Ru Darkness, for example, although Yami was constantly the victim of Rito's involuntary groping and the consequent outbursts of anger, the character always brought out the different nuances of his heart and soul, often troubled by a world that he did not feel was totally his. This time, for example, it is Suzu who shows these disturbances of the heart, overwhelmed by the first flutters and confusion that Matsuri's presence generates in her daily life (especially her school life).

The drawings

As for the drawings... well, here I would have to do another explanatory article divided into several installments, because there is so much to say and analyse about the master's drawings. However, if I have to be brief, I would like to focus on the "change" of register adopted for this work: the stroke remains soft and voluptuous, with the now well-known hints of female curves that the master is so good at, but if you look closely, you can see a clear simplification of the stroke, typical of weekly shonen, which, however, despite everything, does not lose any of the typical Yabukian bite. In short, the drawings may be 'simplified' but they certainly do not lose their charm and appeal!

Conclusions

This work by the master, released at the beginning of 2022, is really enjoying me and I'm already looking for the next volumes. Highly recommended!
