Re : zero - Starting life in another world is the animated adaptation of the manga written by the duo Tappei Nagatsuki-Shin'ichiro Otsuka. The animated work consists of twenty-five episodes of approximately twenty-five minutes each.

Here is the plot summary: A Japanese high school student, Subaru Natsuki, finds himself thrown into a fantasy world... very fantasy. Much of the population consists of talking animals, the level of technology is medieval, there are fairy creatures and powerful magic, as well as realms, noble houses and pretenders to the throne.
His assumption is that he has been summoned to some sort of video game to fulfil a mission... and indeed, every time he dies, he resurrects and comes back to some sort of 'rescue'. Having passed the critical point, he enters a new 'chapter' of the game and goes on like this.

In the process, he meets a silver-haired girl, whom he later discovers is called Emilia, the thieving Felt, his friend Rom, the murderess Elsa, the knight Reinhard, the landlord Roswaal, his twin servants Ram and Rem, the librarian Beatrice, the swordsman Wilhelm van Astrea... and many other characters, human and non-human, simple villagers or sorcerers, in a whirlwind of events that is quite lively and does not spare rather gory scenes.

Indeed, the contrast between the urban and serene incipit, as well as the atmosphere on the estate where Emilia lives, and the huge number of deaths (almost all of them very violent) that Subaru will come across is quite remarkable.

Unfortunately, the contrast between the beginning of the story, as well as some of its later parts, and the bulk of what comes after is also remarkable: the quality unfortunately tends to decrease sharply, and indeed in some episodes we mostly witness hysterical scenes of people screaming or acting melodramatically... thus largely wasting the script and the set design, both of which were quite appealing.

The characters are well characterised, and indeed there are a high number of high-impact figures, both visually and as an underlying energy. It is indeed a pity that the plot gets a little lost in itself (certain strands are dropped without bringing them to fruition) and that the underlying tone, as mentioned, tends towards melodrama in a very excessive way.
The high rate of violence makes the work unsuitable for certain categories of people, children above all.

All in all, Re : Zero - Starting life in another world is an animated series of sufficient value and something more... but one that could probably have been much more with little. Pity

Re : zero - Starting life in another world est l'adaptation animée du manga écrit par le duo Tappei Nagatsuki-Shin'ichiro Otsuka.

Quel dommage.

oh wow, I'm still watching this anime, and what I think is that emilia or rather the witch of jealousy can travel in time, that's why she looks for subaru to save him, and save himself, still not It is understood why she took him to that world, it seems that she only wanted to be loved
