Cycling in Israel - Carob Park

Hello and welcome to "Cycling in Israel"

Today I went for a morning cycling trip of 50km. This trip was a part of my weekly Southern exploration route. I try to mix up my cycling trips, each to a different direction. As of now I have three major routes: Northern, Southern and Eastern. On each trip I try to expand and improve the route.

The goal was to explore the city of Rehovot. Rehovot is a city in Central district of Israel.

I was interested in local parks and other places of interest. The most interesting park that I found on this trip was the "Carob Park".

Satellite view of the park

The park, as expected, is full of carob trees. Unfortunately I missed the flower bloom and the trees were heavy with green carob fruit.

It is incredible to find such a view in the middle of the city

The park is located on a small hill and I found interesting street art on one of the walls of the park. The art depicts children at play. The neighborhood around the park is on the religious side that is why the boys were yamaka.

Unfortunately the rest of the street art were completely ovegrown by a lush green curtain. Maybe in the future I will come back and hopefully it will reveal the hidden art.

Thank you!
It is the first time I see this kind of street art - Children at play. You can tell that the artists really invested in this artwork. Too bad the rest of it was overgrown.

Thank you for your support and kind words!
Visiting those parks makes me appreciate Israel more. I am glad to share the side of Israel I like the most and I am happy you find it fascinating.

There are a lot of parks left unexplored 😀

That's another really lovely park! I love the carob trees! Cool art too, though I see the plants getting into the artistic improvisation! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
