#AskLeo - How do you chose a crypto game?

avatar

Hi,

last week, for #AskLeo, the # tag by @acesontop, I've asked where people search for crypto games. The post can read here.

As I'm an active player and investor of Splinterlands, Rising Star, and some other, I want to ask you, how do you choose a crypto game?

Well, for me, there are a lot of factors:

  • growth possibility - as I like to invest in project that can grow
  • time of entering - early stage is always an advantage and has an edge
  • team - the people behind are also a factor
  • cost versus masses - if the cost is too high, there will be fewer people playing it.
  • gameplay - if I like it or not and if the masses like it
  • timeline - if the game develops constantly and if there is a roadmap behind
  • chain - also the chain where they are build plays for me a role, in terms of cost

With this in mind, I give it a try. If it works, I stick to it.

In 2022, games can play a big role into mass adoption of crypto. People love the idea of earning a living by playing games. Crypto can assure that the assets in these games stay safe, so it is very appealing to play a game on a chain.

People realize the usability of the crypto games and the safety they bring with them. Also, more and more people become financial free, just by playing games, which is gorgeous!

Will I become financial free with games? I don't know, as at the moment I only invest in them. Hope to have a nice return in the next years and to have a constant income from the assets gained in there.

So, how do you choose a crypto game?

I also look forward to this in 2022, how I can get myself in gaming for me to be financially free. I'm ready to give all my one to learn no matter what it takes.

Thanks for sharing

Splinterlands was a blast, and if I did not made mistakes in the past, which I pay now for, I could have lived out of it for the past months.

I search my crypto games on Dappradar
https://dappradar.com/rankings/category/games

I'm a huge fan of Splinterlands and Rising Star (and I'm super excited for upcoming hive games like MuTerra for example)

Lately I've gotten into Wax blockchain games aswell, because Wax is a really user friendly thing to use, just like hive.
I'm not the brighest mind when it comes to dealing with crypto, so I'm just looking for crypto games that are simple to get into for people that are not that familiar with the crypto world.

I don't really choose crypto games :D I just search for whatever is "NEW" and get myself into it as early as I can.
If I like where the game is going I invest more.

Come on, stop being modest. You are bright enough to give valuable tips and I think you will be fine financial on the long run with the method presented.

Do they need to have very good graphics or you like more the old school gaming aspect of it.

I usually put a lot of stock in the track record of the team behind the game. That is the biggest thing these days with new games popping up all over the place and a lot of them being scams or money grabs.

I know you have a pretty good track lately in the virtual land of these games. Maybe sell some off and close the house, so that you have no worries on the long run.

I choose them based on most of the criteria you put above. In the end, I kind of prefer a game with a decent community or interactive player base. Cost to entry is also a factor.

The more people, the better, as it is scalable. Cost is tricky, as if it to low, there are going to be many people who don't invest and the return is going to be small, if to high, it is scary people away.
