#AskLeo - What Crypto do you invest outside the Hive universe and why?

Hi,

for the #AskLeo, the initiative brought by @acesontop, I want to ask you in which cryptos out there, besides the Hive blockchain are you invested in, and why?

Of course, we all love Hive and Leo, but there is no rule not to watch other opportunities.

I'm curious, as there are many cryptos and some come with a good opportunity along and have a good use case, behind them.

There are so many opportunities, and of course, we can't chase them all, as it would very difficult, pointless and a real waste of resources.

In my yesterdays post, I wrote why I go with AVA and what I like about it and why I'm invested in it.

Besides AVA, I have invested in ADA. Well, I might like palindromes, like it can be seen in here. Why ADA? It is one of the most active communities, one that aims to decentralize as much as it can go, and they will be the most decentralized crypto out there with the new HF.

Besides this two, I hold some exchange tokens, BNB and KCS. Another palindrome that did good to me and of the other I can't tell the same thing, as I bought it at the peak, and it will probably not reach it back ever.
These two are definitely centralized, and I hold them only because of profit, drips and avoidance as much as it goes of trading fees.

And of course I have the King & Queen of crypto, BTC and ETH. I hold this both, as they are dominating the market and are the value keepers. I don't have much, but still there is something that reminds me how good crypto can be.

So, what crypto outside the Hive universe do you hold?

That's an interesting question. Right now my biggest holdings are in BTC and ETH. Have some shitcoins on BSC and Uniswap as well. I regret those shitcoins but its too expensive to get out of them so I'll just hodl and hope they moon lol.

Do this shitcoins produce something or are just sitting there in impairment loss?

Sure, but those are recent.

I bought NEO when it was still called AntShares years ago (at $0.07)

I bought EOS the first week it was possible to buy.

And I bought Binance Coin a long time ago when it was less than $1.

Those are my main coins. The DeFi ones, I am hoping that several will moon, but probably not all of them.

I have not invested any fiat money since 2017.

Well if you bought BNB at $1 I think we can safely say that's mooned for you!

Good buys.

I don't think DEFI is done yet, not by a long way!

Great growth and income selection! You are real widespread, from value tokens, to dividend one.

As I can read, you bought them early on, so I can only congratulate you for them.

Thanks for sharing!

$OXEN. They have actual useful privacy tools I use everyday (Session messenger, Lokinet). Plus the token is based on the Monero protocol, but using PoS instead.

$KCS. I think it's undervalued. The dividends paid out arent too bad neither. Could have potential if they do something similar to BNB.

Oxen is interesting, and it is the first time I read about it. KCS I bought on the peak as I was thinking it will moon. Now it is undervalued, that is for sure.

(Edited)

OXEN is turning into my biggest hodlings. I love their ideas. Plus 3 working products. All privacy focused. They're amazing. You on Session messenger yet?

I own a lot of KCS too. I still think it's way undervalued and should easily be a top 50 coin.

Thanks for the tip.

What is session messenger? Never tried it.

I had also big hope into KCS and have bought it at ATH years ago. :)

It's kind of like Telegram. But it's end-to-end encrypted and it uses keys for messaging. So they require 0 information to use it. Not even an e-mail address.

Great choices, of course we love our tokens here and HIVE, but there are many opportunities out there and we should have a chance to diversify our investments.

I am not into crypto for HODL, as I'm not into fiat for HODL. I am into both for application. So other then Hive and Hive-Engine token I invest in Tron TRX, because on Telegram is https://t.me/GoSeeditBot for applying open blockchain to it. Are there more Bots for applying open blockchain to centralized social media? @tipu curate !invest_vote !ENGAGE 1 !JUICE !PUREWATER !FRESHAIR

DOT has always been my choice for a long time. One of my friends suggested me to invest on DOT when the price was 3$ per coin. Today look at the price. So, that has been my preference. Even now if at all the price falls below 20$, I will be more than happy to purchase and hold for the longterm.

DOT is and was an amazing buy. I hope that you have managed to get that much to be able to have life without a stress. I missed that one, that is for sure. Thank you for the hint.

I have an incredibly similar portfolio to you with the difference being polkadot in place of AVA. I will have to check that token out

I've chosen AVA because I travel in a normal year over 60% of the days, so why not get some benefits out of this.

Traveling on a regular basis as such sounds like a dream! Can't wait to get back over to Europe, no matter what capacity that may be in

Just over 10 days ago, I've posted the 23 coins that I'm following. In some of them I'm invested, in others, I'm not. But it gives a list of coins and tokens I find interesting in one or the other way. All of the tokens I follow, I've researched and I believe all on the list have something going for them. None of them is just a random pick. You can read the What (the tokens) and the Why (the reason why they are on the list) in this post here: https://leofinance.io/@edje/23-crypto-projects-i-follow-read-about-the-what-and-the-why). AVA is included in that list :) Some more words about that one in this post here: https://leofinance.io/@edje/curiosity-killer-wikipedia-and-google-curiosity-elixer-anti-market-movements-of-koin
