#DanceWeekend - Nightcall

As now, it is pretty late into the night, and I was still out driving through the empty city, I've stumbled upon a pretty decent mix of, ironically, Nightcall. It fits perfect to the mist outside and to the upcoming #danceweekend, the # tag by @uwelang.

Nightcall was composed and released by Kavinsky, the zombie character of Vincent Belorgey. The producer was one part of the best French electronic project, Daft Punk.

This song, reminding of the synth electro of the 80s was used in a lot of OST's. The first one being The Lincoln Lawyer, followed in the same year by Drive, both great and interesting movies. It appears also in the game, Gangstar Vegas.

The song is related to the character, as the Kavinsky zombie is going to his girlfriend, after he crashed his Testarossa (Ferrari), died and returned as a zombie. From the remixes on the EP, I like the Sawagii's revenge Remix the best.

There are a lot of covers out there, the most famous being that of London Grammar, which was done on their debut album from 2013.

Here I like also the Special Request VIP remix from the EP.

Another known cover is that from My Vitriol. It is not particular my style, but there are fans also for this version.

Will close with a gorgeous live version, which shall end the night as it started.
