Jio is a game-changer company in the telecom industry that has made data affordable for mobile users and it has also resulted in an increase in overall data consumption. During this pandemic when work from home is the new normal then data is the most important requirement. Jio has given easy access to high-speed data and this has helped more to move toward the digital world and growth in smartphone users across the country.

Now Jio is also focusing on the mobile handset segment and had done the partnership with Google to bring a phone with android OS. This is developed by Google and Jio will make it for users to enjoy the best of Google and Jio services altogether. Jio has already two phones on their portfolio but this would be the first smartphone and this is expected to get launched at affordable prices.

The smartphone may feature an HD+ display with a resolution of 720x1,440 pixels. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 215 SoC will power it. This is a quad-core chipset clocked at 1.3GHz and coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. The chipset is specifically designed to power entry-level devices. Although RAM and storage details weren't shared, a report suggests that the smartphone will get up to 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

This phone will come with the standard configuration which is good enough for entry-level users. Its not a highly configured phone but there is a major chunk of people who are ye to move from the basic phones. Now jio will not just launch this phone which will help to bring more users in the data range which will lead to consuming more data. The price of this smartphone is not yet revealed and since the launch is scheduled to happen on 10th Sep 2021 so within 1 month we will get to know prices as well post-launch. I expect that Jio will also keep the plans lower as compared to standard plans.

I am waiting for this phone and will see if its a good choice for me to buy for my father as he has been using a feature phone and if it looks good and easy to use then I can buy it for him. This will be a time for him to move from basic to smartphone and he mostly uses the phone for calls and now he should be able to use it for video watching as well.

Thank you so much
