Time to Buy and Accumulate Chaos Legion Packs?

It's been almost 2 months since the sale ended for Chaos Legion booster packs in splinterlands but still, the price has not gone up. I understand it is because there are so many cars available in the market and the prices are also on the lower side so players have got more options to choose from. If I talk about the earlier versions of booster packs then even now we can see a significant price appreciation however this time things are different. We already have another version of booster packs lying on the market and it is called rift watchers. This is a mini edition find the next edition will be Rebellion which was already announced but more details are not shared yet.

Chaos Legion Buying

I remember when the sale was started for the Chaos Legion Packs, that time it was SPS time and people have a lot of money to buy the packs and even I did the same. Initially, I wanted to buy 1000 packs from this version but later on. It was the time when the bull run was going on and players were excited to buy more assets in the game but then we got to see so many sales comings in because of this I was not left with more money. I purchased 601 packs in total and opened very few just for the fun to see what is inside because I was more interested to hold the packs for the long term. I upgraded my cards collection later on but I purchased all the cards from the market rather than relying on the packs because I believe this was not the right choice. I got most of the cards at a certain discount which is why I continued doing it and upgraded to level 6 or above with most of my summoner cards.

My Chaos Legion Packs Holding

I purchased more than 600 packs in total and got some pets as rewarding the game. Currently, I'm holding 617 packs in total, and I have no plan to open these to check what are the cards inside. Because the cards are available at a low price in the market, it is better to buy cards from the market rather than opening this pack which cost me $4 when I purchased them. I was expecting that once the sale will end then the price will start growing up but so far this has not happened which is why I am holding all my packs and will continue to do this unless I see a significant appreciation for the value.

Market Price

The current price for the CL pack is $1.4 whereas it was $4 in the sale which means it is available at a high discount which is more than 50%. I believe this is a good time to buy more packs with a long-term approach and hold because the price is already quite low and the higher probability is to grow this. This can be a good investment for the long term in my opinion and this is the reason why I'm exploring the option to buy some packs so that later on this can be a profitable investment for me after a couple of years. Once the sale is gone for the next edition then I believe this could be the time when we can expect better pricing for chaos legion packs. I'm not sure but I think this low price could be because of the bigger supply in the market and the burn, the process was started slightly late however it is good that it happened else even now we might have been struggling with the sale for an edition which was more than one year old.

Plan for Buying

I must mention here that this is the time when the assets are available at highly discounted prices including some tokens or packs and even cards. Undoubtedly this is a great time to put some investment in the game because once things will start to grow up then this price will not remain the same iron in between we can also get some additional benefits for the holding because, after lands, things can be more exciting. I am not a maverick as I have not completed 1000 packs purchase but if with this low price, I can make it 1k CL packs then also good for me. I would like to know what others are thinking about this addition of booster packs and do you think it is good to buy more at this price which is not even one and after at the moment. It's been a long time since I checked the price in the market but seems like I need to pay more attention and keep track of the price movement to see if there can be another buying opportunity that is better than the current price.

This is the time when I'm struggling to finalize which assets to continue with in terms of further investment and SPS is the first choice for me as of now considering what are the benefits coming down the line. I believe the investment with the booster pack of chaos legion is going to be great provided we do it for the long term but before this SPS is even more important. I will try to see if I can have some balance between both and try to accumulate even in a small quantity to grab this fantastic buying opportunity which might not last long in the game.
