5 Minute Freewrite: Thursday Prompt - Neckline

Christy comes from a very religious home. She was also raised in that regard. During her undergraduate days Christy appeared to have deviated from the strict rules relating to dressing and dress code generally. The mother was not happy about that as the daughter, Christy now dresses in ways repugnant to her own sense of dressing. When asked Christy will opine that such are the ways young girls and by extension undergraduates dress these days...smart dressing which is in tune with the modern times.

In one of her returns from the campus she wore a particular blouse that has a V neckline. The said blouse looks expensive though. When the mum saw it she raised an alarm which inadvertently attracted the attention of the father. At that point Christy knew that things won't end well. Her father the disciplinarian had gotten wind if it. And true to her fears the father called her and ask her to go inside and change her clothes and then hand over the said 'offensive' blouse to him without delay. Like an obedient child she complied. "So this is the type of things you now wear even in my own house", began the father. "I have seen that you've grown wings. The earlier I clip them the better for us all".

With that, the father held the blouse by the neckline and tore it to shreds. Immediately Christy heard the first sound of the tearing she shut her eyes and started crying. Her expensive blouse is gone... ripped apart...turn to shreds.
