Life as a fresher in the boarding house of a high school is always full of suspense and expectations. If you are the introvert type you may end up being liberated and become more sociable. You may also end up being a loner.

Joke went to the famous boys high school within his county council. The school is said to be the best within the county and he was happy to be admitted into the prestigious institution.

He got his registration and other things done on time and resumed studies. He was also given accommodation in one of the new dormitories.

Joke has never lived outside his home. So, life in the dormitory is going to be pretty difficult for him. He told himself that he must make some good friends who will help him settle down quickly into the school system.

True to his wishes he got Sam as a friend. Both share similar fate...freshers and first time living away from home. They struck a bond and became close friends.

Then came the senior students who always boss around "white shirts", a term associated to one being a fresher. One notorious senior student named Max walked into the dormitory, looked around and saw Joke. He quickly signalled him to come. Timidly, Joke complied. He then asked Joke to fetch him 5 gallons of water 💦. Joke, still trembling mumbled "yes senior" and sneaked away. He then beckoned on his friend Sam to help him do the fetching so as to finish it on time and also to ease the stress of doing it alone.

As they were about to hit the tap, Max shouted: "white shirt", "what do you think you are doing"? "I asked only you to get me the water. You must go alone man". Sam was rattled and he ran back leaving his friend Joke to his fate, so to say.
