Cómo hacer una Libreta HIVE reciclando cartón de cajas | How to make an HIVE Notebook by recycling cardboard boxes

Reciclar es una actividad bastante divertida y enriquecedora porque podemos ofrecerle una nueva vida a esos productos que se habían convertido en "basura" y serían desechados, haciéndolos útiles. Además, activa nuestra creatividad y aquí el límite lo ponemos nosotros mismos. En esta oportunidad, haremos una Libreta HIVE, de manera artesanal, con cartón de cajas.
Recycling is quite a fun and enriching activity because we can offer a new life to those products that had become "garbage" and would be discarded, making them useful. In addition, it activates our creativity and here we set the limit ourselves. In this opportunity, we will make an HIVE Notebook, in a handmade way, with cardboard boxes.
Proceso | Process
Materiales:
-Hojas blancas o de rayas.
-2 piezas de cartón de caja.
-Hilo encerado o crochet.
-2 piezas de cartulina de color.
-Pegamento.
-Tijera.
-Tela jeans reciclada.
-Aguja gruesa.
-Pincel.
Materials:
-White or striped sheets.
-2 pieces of cardboard box.
-Waxed or crocheted thread.
-2 pieces of colored cardboard.
-Glues.
-Scissors.
-Recycled jeans fabric.
-Thick needle.
-paintbrush.
a) Cuadernillos y Costura: Una sobre otra se agruparán 5 hojas, para doblar a la mitad exactamente y formar los cuadernillos. De los extremos hacia adentro del papel, en la línea divisora interna, se marcarán agujeros a 1.5 cm por cada lado, luego entre ellos se harán 2 pares de puntos para perforaciones adicionales.El hilo necesario para coser nuestra libreta, lo calcularemos con largo del cuadernillo en el lado doblado, por la cantidad de cuadernillos que se coserán.
a) Booklets and Sewing: 5 sheets will be grouped one on top of the other, to be folded exactly in half to form the booklets. From the ends to the inside of the paper, on the internal dividing line, holes will be marked at 1.5 cm on each side, then 2 pairs of stitches will be made between them for additional perforations. The thread needed to sew our notebook, we will calculate with the length of the booklet on the folded side, by the amount of booklets to be sewn.
In one of the ends of the first booklet, the threaded needle will be introduced, from the outside to the inside, continuing the passage through each hole made. The other booklets are added, following the corresponding direction. For the union between booklets, the needle should pass under the thread in the other booklet, embracing it, to go to the next hole, which will generate a better adjustment between booklets. In the last booklet, a knot is made to finish the assembly process of the booklet body. In order to compact the booklets, the spine is glued.
En uno de los extremos del primer cuadernillo, se introducirá la aguja enhebrada, de afuera hacia adentro, continuando el paso por cada orificio hecho. Se van añadiendo los otros cuadernillos, siguiendo la dirección correspondiente. Para la unión entre cuadernillos la aguja debe pasar por debajo del hilo en el otro cuadernillo, abrazándolo, para ir a la perforación siguiente, lo que generará un mejor ajuste entre los cuadernillos. En el último cuadernillo se hace un nudo para finalizar el proceso de ensamblaje del cuerpo de la libreta. Para compactar los cuadernillos se unta pega en el lomo.
b) Cover: The 2 pieces of cardboard, must have the same size, these are painted with black acrylic paint, I must point out that in the main one I marked the logo of HIVE, which is the protagonist of my design. Tapping the brush, I splashed other colors (magenta, yellow and blue) on the black. When I finished the painting, I started to carefully remove the first layer of paper that covers the box carton with the cutter, until I reached the corrugated part, in the area where I marked the HIVE logo.
b) Caratula: Las 2 piezas de cartón, deben tener igual tamaño, estás se pintan con pintura acrílica negra, debo señalar que en la principal marqué el logo de HIVE, el cual es el protagonista de mi diseño. Dándole suaves golpecitos al pincel salpiqué otros colores (magenta, amarillo y azul) sobre el negro. Al finalizar la pintada, empecé a retirar cuidadosamente con el cúter, la primera capa de papel que forra al cartón de caja, hasta llegar a la parte corrugada, en la zona donde marqué el logo HIVE.
To the set of cardboard pieces is added a piece with the same height, but with 1.5 cm wide (for the spine), which has been glued in the center of a piece of jeans fabric, leaving 0.5 cm between the spine support and each cover. The book is continuously assembled by gluing the body of sheets to the cardboard support, and for a better finish a colored cardboard is placed on the cardboard cover.
Al juego de piezas de cartón se suma un trozo con el mismo alto, pero con 1,5 cm de ancho (para el lomo), que ha sido pegado en el centro de un pedazo de tela jeans, dejando 0.5 cm entre el soporte del lomo y cada caratula. De manera continua se ensambla la libreta pegando el cuerpo de hojas al soporte de cartón, y para un mejor acabado se coloca una cartulina de color en la tapa de cartón.
