RE: Liquid Staking Luna

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

Liquid staking is 100% the future! I had experienced this with some DeFi investments on AVAX, and once you do it and understand how it works, you can hardly believe it. I wish I knew that LUNA had this feature on one of their platforms though before I staked LUNA in the wallet, damn! The 21 day unstaking period hurts big time since you do not earn any rewards during this time, but it is also what keeps the price from crashing as hard when the rest of the market takes a hit, since so many people have their coins locked on staking.

The only thing I worry about is the platform risk. How trustworthy are these DeFi platforms? Are they built by reputable teams? Are they established or brand new? I havent heard much talk about the platforms you mentioned in the general r/cryptocurrency page, I only just saw Stadler mentioned when I checked the r/Luna_Money reddit page yesterday.

I agree the 21 day delay of unstaking is annoying. On the flip side staking it supports the chain operating so it’s more of a long term investment if we want to see Luna succeed.

What I like about Luna is a lot of the projects are very transparent. This is because a they work together to leverage their products. The developers of many of the terra projects have YouTube video interviews and discussions on their collaborations. Of course not everything is fully risk free but there is enough info online to verify for yourself how well a project works. I am staking some Luna for LunaX and only regret not doing it sooner.
