Be Careful of the Snowball Effect of Delay on Something

Do you often feel like you don't have enough time with only 24 hours? Do you feel like you did enough for today? Or do you feel like today is not the right time to do something? Be careful, you can be addicted to delaying important things.

Life is about today, the present. Not tomorrow. So you should focus on the things you are doing today. Not putting it off for tomorrow.

Biggest Temptation to Procrastinate

Delaying doing something does feel good. We become a free time not to do things that we consider hard.

It is not easy to act. That's why most people fail to just have a lot of ideas but never move to make them happen. And procrastinating is one of the things that people fail to do often.

Distinguish between feeling tired and feeling lazy in yourself. It doesn't matter if you are tired and rest. Unlike laziness that makes you unproductive, you think tomorrow is the best time, not today. But then tomorrow you make up the same excuse. It will be a snowball for you that can destroy your life as a whole.

Snowball Effect

To me, putting off doing something we can do today is like a snowball. The more we postpone it, the more it multiplies our work and burdens us.

Your mind will only focus on the things that you put off before and you will repeat them the next morning.

It will have a bad effect on all aspects of your life. So try to do what you are right now, even if only a little.

Slowly But Sure

Don't worry if you feel that the progress you are making seems to be progressing slowly. It doesn't matter at all.

As long as you are consistent and doing something, you are on the move, you are not still.

Being consistent with little things is better than thinking about big things that never come true at all.

Facts upon facts! Procrastination is the biggest trap we as humans all fall into from time to time...

I have done it myself & you're right - then your focus shifts to what you put off & that becomes more urgent because you delayed things. You are not in the present moment & things get pretty overwhelming...

Even though I am still not perfect at NOT doing this, I noticed I do better when I have a daily list each day. It doesn't have to be a long list - 2 to 3 items maybe - & it certainly doesn't have to be huge goals. Baby steps each day has its own snowball effect, but in a positive way...

If you at least accomplish a couple of things each day (even if it's one step forward to what you would've originally procrastinated), then you're a step ahead! This keeps me on track so I don't become a lazy bum and watch movies all day. Although occasionally, it IS nice to take a break & do that he he....

It's all about balance. Thank you for another insightful blog post! :) Have a wonderful day.💚🤗
