Because i don't want to tell people on POB, that they're too bad for my magazine. I don't want any drama, if somebody misses a deadline and I don't have anything to offer to a great author. They can already make more on their own.
I like to keep it simple. I might change my mind later on. I even said so in the post.

I reminds me of Cal's metrics. You're providing content you believe is high-quality for the world to see. It would be the group's action to review it and, if willing, meet that standard. I liked it from the start.
