Multiverse Protocol Mcbo 2022 | Mi experiencia como co-host y ponente [Esp/Eng]
¡Saludos, queridos Hivers!
Usualmente no demoro tanto en reportarme por acá pero este agosto y este evento han desencadenado una serie de eventos muy afortunados que han requerido mi total atención, o al menos más de lo usual, y eso me ha llevado a demorarme bastante.
Sé que no debería excusarme empezando la publicación pero ustedes saben que yo escribo tal cual hablo y si estuviera frente de ti o por teléfono te aseguro que te diría tal cual esto mismo porque, vamos, hoy es 23 de agosto, tarde algo, ¿eh? Pero lo bueno se hace esperar, ¿a poco no?
A continuación podrás leer de primera mano sobre el primer evento multiprotocolo de Maracaibo en el cual participó Hive activamente gracias al apoyo de @guiltyparties, @threespeak / @threespeak-es, @hivemeetup, @samgiset y @enrique89.
Greetings, dear Hivers!
Usually I don't take so long to report here but this August and this event have triggered a series of very fortunate events that have required my full attention, or at least more than usual, and that has led me to take a long time.
I know I shouldn't excuse myself by starting the publication but you know that I write as I speak and if I were in front of you or on the phone I assure you that I would tell you this very same thing because, come on, today is August 23rd, a little late, huh? But good things come to those who wait, right?
Below you can read first hand about the first multi-protocol event in Maracaibo in which Hive actively participated thanks to the support of guiltyparties, threespeak / threespeak-es, hivemeetup, samgiset and enrique89.
The organization
Es de conocimiento público que organizar algo no es sencillo, sobre todo cuando hay tantas personas de por medio porque el compromiso sube y juto a él un señor llamado estrés. No necesariamente por algo malo sino que soy del tipo de persona que procura que todo quede lo mejor posible y doy el 100% de mí para que así sea.
Hubieron muchos cambios de lugar, de fecha, de hora, de quiénes íbamos a hablar, de quienes iban a venir de fuera de la ciudad, entre otras cosas. Pero justo una semana antes todo comenzó a encajar como las piezas de un reloj suizo y todo comenzó a funcionar adecuadamente (lo cual ayudó con el estrés).
Los dos días antes del evento fueron algo ocupados pero sirvieron de mucho para lograr el éxito de este grandioso día.
It is common knowledge that organizing something is not easy, especially when there are so many people involved because the commitment increases and along with it a man called stress. Not necessarily because of something bad, but because I am the type of person who tries to make everything look as good as possible and I give 100% of myself to make it happen.
There were many changes of place, date, time, who we were going to talk about, who was going to come from out of town, among other things. But just a week before everything started to fall into place like the pieces of a Swiss watch and everything started to work properly (which helped with the stress).
The two days before the event were a bit busy, but they helped a lot to achieve the success of this great day.
Day before
Como les decía, el día anterior estuvo potente porque pasaban muchas cosas a la vez y también tocaba ultimar detalles para el evento, aún así, pudimos participar el día anterior en un Space de Twitter con la gente de @chiguirelandnfts que entrevistó a Angel Niño Torres quien, junto con su firma de abogados, fue el co-organizador y co-host del evento junto con nosotros. Nuestros carpinchos favoritos del metaverso también nos apoyaron con la organización.
Antes del Space que tuve junto a Angel en la cuenta de Twitter de @hivecreatorsday, tuve el inmenso honor de representar a Hive en el Space de Twitter de la abogada rockstar favorita de todos nosotros, Ana Ojeda-Caracas aka @criptolawyer. Fue un momento MUY surrealista porque Ana es una de las personas que más admiro en el mundo cripto y es una experiencia que no olvidaré.
Luego de eso, a dormir que al otro día toca comenzar desde temprano la faena para hacer que todo sea posible.
As I was saying, the previous day was powerful because there were many things going on at the same time and it was also time to finalize details for the event, even so, we were able to participate the day before in a Twitter Space with the people from @chiguirelandnfts who interviewed Angel Niño Torres who, along with his law firm, was the co-organizer and co-host of the event along with us. Our favorite capybaras of the metaverse also supported us with the organization.
Prior to the Space I had together with Angel on the @hivecreatorsday Twitter account, I had the immense honor of representing Hive on the Twitter Space of all of our favorite rockstar lawyer, Ana Ojeda-Caracas aka @criptolawyer. It was a VERY surreal moment because Ana is one of the people I admire most in the crypto world and it's an experience I won't forget.
After that, to sleep because the next day it's time to start the work early to make everything possible.
The Big Day
Un buen día no podía comenzar distinto y fue con un desayuno de campeones (algo muy zuliano, obviamente) auspiciado por el amorcito de mi vida (si lees esto, te amo).
Luego de ese potente desayuno, revisamos todo lo relacionado a lo que nos íbamos a llevar, que todos los regalos estuvieran en su lugar y bien presentados para el evento. También revisé las redes sociales para saber quién se había reportado para ir al evento porque aunque se había llenado gracias a los diferentes invitados, siempre hay personas que quieren entrar y la idea era no deja a nadie por fuera mientras se pudiera.
A good day could not start any different and it was with a breakfast of champions (something very Zulian, obviously) sponsored by the love of my life (if you read this, I love you).
After that powerful breakfast, we checked everything related to what we were going to take, that all the gifts were in place and well presented for the event. I also checked the social networks to see who had reported to go to the event because even though it had filled up thanks to the different guests, there are always people who want to get in and the idea was not to leave anyone out while we could.

El sitio elegido fue el Salón de Eventos de Torre 13, donde nuestro amigo Angel Niño Torres tiene sus oficinas y nos pareció el sitio más propicio para este primer encuentro. Ya había asistido antes al sitio y es muy hermoso, todo en Torre 13 lo es y la atención también, desde que pisas la entrada hasta el irte y, por su puesto, tanto Angel como todos los que hacen vida en FTT Lawyers son un encanto de personas. Agradecida con ellos por todo lo que se esforzaron para que el evento saliera tan genial como salió.
En toda la travesía conté con el acompañamiento de @gabriellalpez2 que, aunque yo fui quién le comentó para venir, no pensó dos veces y decidió acompañarme por 10 días en Maracaibo pero principalmente en este evento, cosa que agradezco porque la mayoría de las fotos de redes sociales (mis tweets) y las que vieron acá, más los vídeos que vieron por ahí fueron gracias a su determinación porque yo andaba muy enfocada en otras cosa ¡Gracias! Una mejor amiga no puedo pedir.
The site chosen was the Events Room of Torre 13, where our friend Angel Niño Torres has his offices and it seemed to us the most appropriate place for this first meeting. I had been to the place before and it is very beautiful, everything in Torre 13 is beautiful and so is the attention, from the moment you step in the entrance until you leave and, of course, both Angel and all those who make life in FTT Lawyers are lovely people. Thankful to them for everything they did to make the event go as great as it did.
Throughout the journey I had the support of @/gabriellalpez2 who, although I was the one who told her to come, did not think twice and decided to accompany me for 10 days in Maracaibo but mainly in this event, which I appreciate because most of the photos of social networks (my tweets) and the ones you saw here, plus the videos you saw out there were thanks to her determination because I was very focused on other things. I couldn't ask for a better friend.

Al llegar revisamos el lugar, ya estaban las sillas y probamos el audio. Estábamos esperando que se hiciera la hora y mientras chequeamos si teníamos todo en su lugar para poder proyectar dos charlas que serían remotas debido a conflictos de agenda de los participantes para poder viajar a la ciudad.
Una vez probado todo eso, puesto el pendón en su lugar y puesta la clave de WiFi en la laptop (obvio, había que hacerlo), subimos a las oficinas de FTT Lawyers en las cuales conversamos unas últimas cosas al respecto del evento y similares. También esperábamos a Angel que aún no había podido llegar porque tenía un compromiso pendiente antes del evento y debía terminarlo.
Como ya les he dicho, soy una persona bastante ansiosa y mantener mi mente ocupada en todo lo relacionado a lo de las redes sociales del evento me mantuvo bastante menos ansiosa y ayudó a que yo fluyera muchísimo mejor durante todo el día.
When we arrived we checked the place, the chairs were already set up and we tested the audio. We were waiting for the time to be done and while we checked if we had everything in place to be able to project two talks that would be remote due to scheduling conflicts of the participants to be able to travel to the city.
Once everything was checked, the banner was in place and the WiFi key was set in the laptop (obviously, it had to be done), we went up to the FTT Lawyers offices where we had a few last conversations about the event and the like. We also waited for Angel who had not been able to arrive yet because he had a pending commitment before the event and had to finish it.
As I have already told you, I am a pretty anxious person and keeping my mind busy with all the social media stuff of the event kept me a lot less anxious and helped me flow a lot better throughout the day.
Comenzaron a llegar los participantes del evento, se comenzaba a llenar el local y comenzamos a preparar todo para el evento. Ya una vez todos colocados en su sitio dimos comienzo al Multiverse Protocol.
The event participants began to arrive, the place was starting to fill up and we began to prepare everything for the event. Once everyone was in place we started the Multiverse Protocol.

Comenzamos con unas breves pero sentidas palabras de parte de Angel y de mí. Eso abrió el espacio para que @arenasd pudiera hablarnos sobre ChigüireLandNFT que fue una charla más o menos de unos 30 min llena de demostraciones de todos los avances que ha tenido el proyecto y todolo relacionado al metaverso que hoy en día no es futuro, es nuestro presente.
Al finalizar dimos un break de 10 o 20 minutos mientras ajustábamos todo lo relacionado a la conexión de internet y las ponencias remotas (estabamos en vivo, cositas que pasan), y comenzamos a repartir el refrigerio y su respectiva bebida que parece haberle gustado a todos.
Luego comenzamos las dos charlas remotas que fueron con nuestros amigos de BNBchain y Venus Protocol, los respectivos embajadores para Venezuela que son Edumar León y Ricardo Mica nos hicieron el maravilloso honor de hablarnos al respecto de BNBchain, de todos los progresos que han tenido este año y de su participación en eventos grandes que, para el momento no lo sabíamos, pero hoy en día ya publicaron que harán el Platzi Conf junto a Platzi el cual será increíble, y por parte de Venus nos hablaron más a profundidad de qué trata.
Luego de esas dos intervenciones maravillosas vía online, comenzamos a repartir un par de regalos por parte de FTT Lawyers y ChigüireLandNFT que fueron 5 chigüis, o NFTs de chigüires para unirte a la manada. Adicional, en ese momento, yo aproveché para dar uno de los regalos pendientes por dar el cual fue un libro llamado "Inventemos Bitcoin" y a la ganadora le encantó.
Luego de ello comenzamos con la charla sobre Hive la cual iba a ser un poco más orientada a programadores/desarrolladores pero debido a que al final fue un evento para todo público decidimos hablar de la plataforma de manera general.
We started with some brief but heartfelt words from Angel and me. That opened the space for @arenasd to talk about ChigüireLandNFT which was a talk of about 30 minutes full of demonstrations of all the advances that the project has had and everything related to the metaverse that today is not the future, it is our present.
At the end we took a break of 10 or 20 minutes while we adjusted everything related to the internet connection and the remote presentations (we were live, little things that happen), and we began to distribute the snack and its respective drink that seems to have pleased everyone.
Then we started the two remote talks that were with our friends from BNBchain and Venus Protocol, the respective ambassadors for Venezuela who are Edumar León and Ricardo Mica did us the wonderful honor of talking to us about BNBchain, about all the progress they have made this year and about their participation in big events that, at the moment we didn't know about, but today they already published that they will do the Platzi Conf together with Platzi which will be incredible, and on the part of Venus they told us more in depth about what it is all about.
After those two wonderful online interventions, we started to give out a couple of gifts from FTT Lawyers and ChigüireLandNFT which were 5 chigüis, or chigüire NFTs to join the pack. Additionally, at that moment, I took the opportunity to give one of the pending gifts to give which was a book called "Inventemos Bitcoin" and the winner loved it.
After that we started with the talk about Hive which was going to be a bit more oriented to programmers/developers but because in the end it was an event for everyone we decided to talk about the platform in a general way.

En esa media hora que estuve hablando + el tiempo para preguntas y regalos, expliqué que las blockchain son como las lasagnas (o "pastichos" como le decimos en Venezuela). Se habló de todo lo básico, de la tokenización, de los NFTs y varios de ese grupo se enamoraron tanto de Hive que decidieron entrar a las clases de @soy-laloreto que comenzó la siguiente semana.
Al finalizar la charla de Hive, en la cual la pasé muy bien y sentí que a todos les agradó y caló el tema, pasaron nuestros amigos de la comunidad de Reserve que nos explicaron la finalidad de la app, el futuro que tiene en el ecosistemas de apps similares y lo que desean proyectar para su comunidad y el mundo. No tengo fotos del momento, lo lamento 😔
Para cerrar el evento, habló Angel Niño Torres para contarnos sobre un tema sumamente importante que es la Regulación de Criptoactivos en Venezuela y todo lo relacionado a las leyes, algo que consideramos sumamente importante para hacer siempre todo lo posible por cumplir las leyes y así poder estar siempre dentro del marco de la ley, tanto en nuestro país como afuera.
Ya terminada la charla de Angel, dimos la charla a todos los asistentes y los dejamos marchar algo rápido porque estaba comenzando a llover muy fuerte y, aunque algunos tenían vehículo, otros no y necesitaban irse pronto.
Un aproximado de 30 personas nos vimos en el after pero eso vendrá en la siguiente publicación y no, no me tardaré otro mes. Pinky promise.
In that half hour that I was talking + time for questions and gifts, I explained that blockchain is like lasagnas (or "pastichos" as we say in Venezuela). We talked about all the basics, tokenization, NFTs and several of that group fell in love with Hive so much that they decided to join the @/soy-laloreto classes that started the following week.
At the end of Hive's talk, in which I had a great time and I felt that everyone liked and understood the topic, our friends from the Reserve community came by and explained the purpose of the app, the future it has in the ecosystem of similar apps and what they want to project for their community and the world. I have no pictures of the moment, sorry 😔.
To close the event, Angel Niño Torres spoke to tell us about an extremely important topic which is the Regulation of Cryptoassets in Venezuela and everything related to the laws, something that we consider extremely important to always do everything possible to comply with the laws and thus always be within the framework of the law, both in our country and abroad.
Once Angel's talk was over, we gave the talk to all the attendees and let them leave quickly because it was starting to rain very hard and, although some of them had a vehicle, others did not and needed to leave soon.
Approximately 30 of us met at the after party but that will come in the next post and no, I won't take another month. Pinky promise.
Acknowledgements and final words
Aunque han pasado muchísimos días después del evento, el agradecimiento solo ha crecido más y más, aún recuerdo la sonrisa con la que me acosté a dormir esa noche porque me sentí muy satisfecha con los resultados del día y también en todo lo que se ha desencadenado a raíz de este evento del 3 de Agosto.
Detrás de esta organización y de cada uno de los ponentes hay un equipo increíble del cual no recuerdo todos sus nombres y de los cuales aún no logro que entren en Hive pero sé que lo harán tarde o temprano. Pero, para los que sí, no podía no mencionarlos como lo hice al comenzar la publicación y durante ella. Sin ustedes, nada de esto habría sido posible ¡Nada! Y no me alcanzará la vida para agradecerles el amor, la confianza, la paciencia y la resiliencia de intentar hasta lograrlo.
También agradecida con cada uno de los participantes, sabemos que lo hicimos en día de semana, aún algunos terminaban clases, otros trabajo y aún así decidieron asistir, aprender, acompañarnos ¡Un millón de gracias!
Para todos los que mínimo dieron un RT o un like a toda la información del evento, la compartieron de alguna manera o se la pasaron a su criptobobo (es un meme, no se molesten) de confianza para que asista; a todos ustedes también muchas gracias porque también hicieron parte importante de este logro.
Hace dos noches analizaba mis peticiones para este año y una de ellas fue llevar a Hive to the moon 🚀 y lo estamos logrando, lo estamos logrando en comunidad, en toda Venezuela, en todo el mundo.

Although many days have passed after the event, the gratitude has only grown more and more, I still remember the smile with which I went to sleep that night because I felt very satisfied with the results of the day and also in everything that has been triggered by this event on August 3.
Behind this organization and behind each of the speakers is an amazing team whose names I don't remember all of them and whose names I still can't get into Hive but I know they will sooner or later. But, for those that do, I couldn't not mention them as I did at the beginning of the publication and during it. Without you, none of this would have been possible - nothing! And I will never be able to thank you enough for your love, trust, patience and resilience to try and make it.
I am also grateful to each one of the participants, we know we did it on a weekday, some of them were finishing classes, others were working and still decided to attend, learn and join us, thanks a million!

La verdad es que sí, he estado cero desocupada este tiempo que tú no estabas y la verdad es que no estoy en tantos pero en los que estoy ando muy enfocada en generar resultados importantes, valiosos y que trasciendan en el tiempo o al menos dejen una huella en cada uno de los que lo toca, creo que tú eres un ejemplo que de hablarte del amor que tengo por algo llegas a ello y te enamoras igual o más.
Me alegra saber que mi emoción y mi amor por Hive transiente la pantalla porque eso quiere decir que ando haciendo un buen trabajo en la proyección.
