Rabona Press Update: Wicked Boys Getting relegated but Manager's job is Safu

It has been quite some time I talked about my Rabona team and for good reason too. Just like Arsenal, my team has been stuttering lately.

However, unlike Arsenal which is on the verge of reaching a champions league spot, Wicked Boys Fc have confirmed their place in the lower league for next season.

This is the second time my team is getting relegated ever since we broke into league 1. Crossing league 1 to the league of champions has proven to be quite the chore and now, my team isn't even good enough to compete at the top of the league.

Time to Spend money?

I'm starting to consider injecting some capital into my team. I believe a 20-30 Hive injection into this team will get me a few hundred million RBN tokens and enable me to buy top quality players that can all play in the 4-3-3 formation.

The problem with relying on funds alone is that, while you may have the capital, there's no assurance that you'll see quality players on the market. In a very subtle way, there's some level of competition for quality players in the game.

When you consider the fact that my team with an average overall strength of 84 can't compete with the top dogs in League 1 points at the level of competition in the game.

When I eventually inject capital into the game, I will bolster my ranks, to get my average OS to at least 90. I'll also focus on getting in players that are familiar with the 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 formation.

Preparing for League 2

The last time I got relegated to league 2, my team ended up winning every single match in that division. The Wicked boys proved to be too hot for that level.

It was undoubtedly one of the most dominating performances by any Rabona team, in the history of the game.

Once again, we're going back down to League 2 and we're not taking anything for granted. I don't expect any handouts in the coming season, so we will be giving our best.

We've already added some quality players to bolster the ranks and give us an even more robust squad. We're basically investing all our earnings from the past couple of seasons, while also ensuring we have a manageable wage bill.

It is essential that we don't take league 2 for granted, because that's exactly how you get trapped. So this necessitates investing in the squad.

Our plan is to work hard and navigate our way out of league 2 next season and then subsequently push for the League 1 title.

Our performance in league 2 will determine the amount that will be once again invested into the squad.

The Gaffer is safu....for now

There have been speculations about the manager's role in the future. However, the board of directors have assured the manager that he has their full backing.

The board assured the young @belemo that manages the team that despite their poor showing in the current season, they will still continue to support him and reinvest into the squad.

In a recent meeting with the director of football and Belemo, the board assured him that they understand how difficult it is to navigate through League 1 and so they will not be too critical, but a strong showing in league 2 is extremely important.

Speculation

This has not stopped Numerous news agencies from speculating about the role at the club.

Renowned journalist, David Ornstein posted on his Twitter about how the board drew up a shortlist of potential replacements. Names like @blanchy and @talesfrmthecrypt have been thrown into the hat as potential replacement.

When quizzed about the situation, Director of Football of Wicked Boys, Pionel Pessi, was tight-lipped and stated categorically that "Belemo is still the man for the job and the other candidates mentioned were a little bit too Spursy anyways".
