It's more fun to speculate wild ideas because basic explanations that are time tested proven rational and can be replicated are boring. Let's just say aliens made it because that's going to get more views on the network.
True. The theory that humans were at some point in the past as advanced, or probably more advanced, than we are right now, is a popular one. And quite likely too. Or else, aliens.
