Many of us here on LeoFinance recognize and love Thorchain. In this article, I talk about Thorchain from the early stage perspective of someone just getting interested and involved in researching Thorchain. I'll cover many of the basic concepts that you should know about before diving deeper!

To prevent unauthorized transactions, the Thorchain platform introduced a Continuous Liquidity Pool (CLP) that incentivises any participant to provide liquidity. THORNodes act as 'trustless' pools, each tied to RUNE in their own vault. The CLP is a key element of the cryptocurrency ecosystem, as it eliminates the need for buyer-seller pairing. It is also more secure than traditional methods, which require users to exchange fiat currency for ETH.

Thorchain swaps requires users to pay a fee for gas, a slip fee, and a transaction fee. This transaction is essentially the most efficient and secure way to exchange cryptocurrency.

The system is decentralized and allows anyone to become a liquidity provider. As long as two-thirds of all active nodes agree, THORChain pools run autonomously and play a significant role in processes between chains. In addition to facilitating trading, THORChain vaults act as a clearing house, ensuring the safekeeping of cryptocurrencies. In exchange for a fee, LPs receive a commission for the trade pairs they facilitate.

To protect the integrity of the network, THORchain requires nodes to maintain the RUNE bond for a specified period of time. While this is a great way to guarantee security, it also encourages node operators to meet certain criteria to maintain their staking. In order to keep the THORchain protocol functioning smoothly, nodes must follow specific staking guidelines. A successful node operator must be willing to meet all these requirements before obtaining a bond.

In the past year, Thorchain has released a limited version of its mainnet and aims to become a full-fledged DEX supporting all blockchains agnostically. The protocol is very complex, and it allows users to swap between native assets without the need for centralized exchanges. The THORchain team is mostly anonymous, but their work continues.

To operate a fully functioning node, the NO must be bonded with RUNE, the platform's native token. As the network grows, the value of the RUNE token increases deterministically.

ETH and Bitcoin are popular crypto assets, but the Thorchain network is unique because it supports both and more to come. The THORchain network uses a system called Bifrost to connect to other networks. These applications use the same algorithm to sign and execute transactions. The ETH and BTC nodes are connected by a common database, which allows them to share information securely.

THORChain is a permissionless, decentralized network that facilitates liquidity for users and traders. It has a growing list of supported cryptocurrencies, and it works as a full node for other connected blockchains. It also supports interoperability between blockchains, making it a great choice for exchanges and cryptocurrency investors alike. The platform can also be used for many other purposes, such as storing data, facilitating trading, and ensuring that no transaction is fraudulent.

The Thorchain platform is designed to be compatible with various DeFi projects. The company's RUNE (thorchain) tokens are available on several exchanges - obviously including native swaps to RUNE via BTC, ETH, BNB, etc. on the Thorchain DEX itself. The THORCHAIN team hopes to create a decentralized blockchain with wide-scale governance. The THORCHAIN community has contributed to its development by creating BEPSwap and Vanaheim, two products that have already seen great usecase. The BEPSwap, which allows users to swap their assets, was launched and eventually deprecated as Thorchain deployed MCCN and new DEX UIs like Thorswap came about.

The THORCHAIN protocol is a complex network that is designed to facilitate mass adoption of cryptocurrencies. It uses a decentralized network to link all the liquidity on a single platform. Tech and rapid development is the "backbone" of THORChain, which allows it to connect all the liquidity on a single platform. Its cross-chain functionality is one of the most important features of the platform.

Hope you enjoyed this basic breakdown of fundamental Thorchain concepts! RUNE is severely undervalued right now. We'll see you in the top 10 MCAP Cryptos soon enough!
