One of my favorite prowess

avatar

Have always been the one to brag that I am a fast learner, not because I chose but it’s just what I do best. One of my favorite places I love to learn is when I watch people play games for the first time, and all I need to know is the rules of the game and with 2-3 games being played I can become the best of three’s or fives. When it comes to games I can be very good or very bad at it, being bad at it doesn’t mean I didn’t try to learn but I don’t just have interests in it.

Some of the games I can boldly walk into a room and challenge anyone are a game of Ludo, monopoly, drafts, and PlayStation games like FIFA, car race games. Those are for indoor games, while for outdoor games I can brag of table tennis, and any football challenge. But for games like chess, well you can count me out, have tried to learn countless times but we are not just compatible.

And there are games where one can earn from just playing it, games like splinterlands, I tried playing splinterlands but got defeated more than 14times, it’s nice though but I guess I just don’t know how to play it, and it pains me that it’s a play-to-earn game and now that I can put my prowess to test, I feel powerless.
And there are some other play-to-earn games like Axie infinity, dCrops, and the sandbox, etc. So I will make sure I get to learn them as soon as possible to put my ability to good use and earn from them. Because have heard and seen cases where before people win lots of coins/tokens from just playing a game, it’s amazing.

For games like monopoly, I enjoy it so much because it’s like playing how you want your life to play out... LOL! And you get to control properties, make someone in debt to you, and that’s if you are good in strategies and your dice luck is big.

I remember during my service days when I played with a guy who claimed he was very good at playing monopoly. At first, he had big luck of having two colors of an expensive property but needed one more to complete it and on the other hand, he has the one I needed too to complete mine, but he wasn’t a good trader and he requested we exchange colors without an additional fee, thinking his properties are more expensive than mine and there’s a high tendency of me falling on them.
But the trick is I owned the property where is the most frequent place for any player to land and with that, it was easy for me to bankrupt him.

My favorite is the checkers, I was taught by my uncle and I learned every way to counter every possible move from my opponents. When playing it, I can get lost in thought thinking of 5 steps ahead of where to move my seed forward while covering up the space behind to avoid any loopholes. Have gotten the chance to play with old men, young guys, lecturers, and even random people and I can say my win rate is 80% but recently I have gotten the chance to exercise my brain with it, it’s been a long since I had the chance to play it.

The game I play frequently, especially on game night is Ludo, which is one of my strongest suits and where I believe my chance of luck and winning is high. Currently planning on giving it a go tonight, just waiting for some friends to teach them some lessons and retain my game night crown.

In terms of chess, that’s my danger zone, I don’t know how to play that game, have tried and read all types of strategy and still, it doesn’t stick. Sometimes I feel/get jealous when I see @samostically talk about chess and I have nothing to comment about it except to just wish I was good enough to challenge him. Well, I hope someday I will get to that point.

I look forward to some challenges in some of these games. LOL

Chess is not soo hard. Once you know the moves and you play a couple times with people around your level you'll get the hang of it
