THE SPIRITUAL ART OF SELF CARE.

Self care is spiritual, it is a way of reconnecting with the god in you, reaching out to your inner light and letting it shine through.
How do you worship and honor yourself? Some would say doing what suits you yes, that's right but, how do you know what suits you? That's the tricky part because it transcends the physical. It goes beyond knowing the right shade of clothes to wear, wearing the right shoes or perfect outfits, knowing the best skin care routine etc.

Those things are part of it but we need to understand that it goes deeper than that. It is about knowing what suits your soul, what makes your spirit glow.
What makes your soul glow and brings you happiness. It takes a lot of intentionality to do this. A lot of soul searching, putting yourself out there by going through different experiences to get to meet the different parts of you that you didn't know existed. To know the things you like, the memories you'd always cherish and the ones you'd rather not remember.

Essentially, self care is about sitting with yourself and going through all your experiences again, to understand how you deal with different circumstances and why you react the way you do, what keeps you grounded and what upsets you so you can know what to let in and what to let go of. To bring us balance and security in order for us to always show up as our authentic selves to share our light with the world.

Now more than ever is the time to turn inward and light that inner fire, let it burn through with pure intensity, because the world needs the fire for transformation and you need it to fully thrive.

So, ask yourself the things you need to find your balance and operate as your most authentic self. What are the things you need to let go of, the situation or things, people, even food that limit you and dim your light so you can know what to release and things to embrace because that is the true essence of self care.

The quality of our lives highly depends on how well we care for ourselves.
The key is focusing on leading a wholesome life. A life that radiates love and acceptance. A life that soothes and brings comfort to others.
We become what we feed ourselves, the words and energies we pour into ourselves influences our persona.

I have always believed in the power of self. It doesn’t go deeper than myself. I am a reflection of the divine and I have to carry myself as such to be able to stay connected to the source of life. The powers within us can only be awakened when we care deeply for ourselves.

Self care is also self preservation. Being particular about not exposing our spirits to toxicity and harm. The courage to always choose ourselves doesn’t come easy, but it comes from knowing we are our primary, our constant.

Loving and caring for our bodies may seem vain but it is crucial. I like to spend time smothering my body with words of love, praises and affirmation. Because the way I feel on the inside has no choice but to reflect on the outside. My body is the vessel, the power house and without it nothing else will stand.

It is our direct contact with the divine nature, with the earth and all the elements that fuel our existence. Self care is spiritual and spirituality is well rounded and wholesome.

You always have such thought provoking posts young lady.
Self is the bomb, I know what my self likes and I generally will ensure that is what is played out on a daily basis... Occasionally there is a wee hiccup but then self takes over again!
How the devil are you Sugar, now that is a strange expression I wonder what the origin is for that one!

Who else is resonating with me on this??.... hehe!

Well...this is one deep thoughtful and reflecting article, you truly allowed the flow of this inspiration to transcend smoothly just like the inner you speaks. Having power or self-control of yourself is powerful and so enlightening.

Self care is also self preservation. Being particular about not exposing our spirits to toxicity and harm.

This is just the plain truth!
I am very careful with what I let into me and what I let out... exposing my spirit it's not my thing rather I empower it carefully witha gentle step.
There's something that I used to do back those days that I was little, I think it's around thirteen-ish period. I speak to myself, to a divinity somewhere unknown and speak into existence of what I want to be look like or radiate, an epitome of god's work, his glory and love!...and then when I began growing up, I eventually started caring for inner self and in few years time I see those things I wished for manifesting in myself. This might sound absurd but I know what I am talking about....if you live carnally so will you be but if you choose the other way you would be mindful of things.

Thanks for this little inspiration!

Wow @cescajove what a beautiful and thoughtful reply.
Manifestation is a powerful and I too believe in it. We have the power that is in our words and actions to help us navigate and choose the life we want, doesn't sound absurd at all.

I appreciate you stopping by with this lovely feedback.

I am a reflection of the divine and I have to carry myself as such to be able to stay connected to the source of life. The powers within us can only be awakened when we care deeply for ourselves.

This is such a wonderful affirmation.

If we truly want to experience joy and fulfilment in life, we need to know ourselves and to know God. We need to learn to forgive our own transgressions and to love our inner being again. I constantly re-evaluate my life, and how I am filling my days. I look to strip back the things that are detracting from my joy and invest more time into the things that warm my heart and fill my soul. It is always evolving... but I just try to keep focussed through prayer and connection. This was a truly beautiful post, Sugar. Thank you for sharing your heart 💗 !LUV !ALIVE !PIZZA

Yeah! I certainly enjoyed it, maybe even more than you did, while writing. 😁

Self care is a spiritual adventure. We need to speak to ourselves. And feel our hearts up with positivity.

Thanks for this piece. It was well served.
