Zuck wants to sell the Oculus at cost. It has always been my belief that he will eventually give them away for free. If this happens you will see a meta onboarding event like never before.

My guess is they are losing money on each headset and he doesnt care in the least. I did not consider the free headset but I bet you are right. To him, it is about the control which he will eventually monetize.
Scary thought of how everyone will run out and grab one.
