Hive Power Up day and My Monthly Hive Report

Today is the start of a new month and on Hive it is celebrated as Hive power-up day. I usually participate in this event and this month again I wanted to participate and power up my Hive. There is an official event where people below certain reputations and criteria are also eligible for some prizes. But I personally participate in this for improving my Hive power and also to have a great hold on Hive. I'm happy about this blockchain and powering up and growing my Hive power motivates me.

Usually, there would be a movement in the price of Hive during the first week of the month. But this time the party happened yesterday and the day before yesterday not on Hive but on HBD. I don't know how many people observed it and made use of the opportunity but I did. I was also able to do some swing trades on the occasion of the HBD pump. Swing trades are nothing but buying low and selling high or selling high and buying low. But doing it multiple times is what makes it a swing trade because that will only profit us.

I have set myself a goal to reach 100k Hive power before the end of the year. We still have 11 more months to go and in order to go towards that, I wanted to do a massive power-up now. I was able to power up 3000 Hive today on the occasion of Hive Power-up day. Hopefully, if I'm able to do something similar every month, I'm sure I would be able to reach my goals. But not all months are as good as this one. I got many funds coming my way this month making it easier to have some liquid Hive. Hopefully, this happens every month.

My Monthly report

I usually share my monthly report from the Hivestats website which helps me compare how much I have earned in the last month from Hive in the form of Author rewards and Curation rewards. The price of Hive has improved compared to last month so the reward value should also be good.

Looks like the quantity of Hive I have received from author rewards have reduced compared to last month but at least the value has increased I should say. I know for a fact that my articles did not do well on certain days and sometimes it does extremely well. So it is totally unpredictable. Looks like the curation rewards were also good. Hopefully, as the Hive power grows the revenue from curation rewards should also keep growing.

The above stats are from my secondary account @balaz where I have my HBD in savings. That's definitely a great asset and in the last month, I also pushed some more HBD to savings to increase my passive income. I also have a goal to have 10k HBD in savings before the end of the year. Hopefully, that also becomes a reality. I did not have any curation rewards because I delegated my HBD to a different account to earn a different token. Also, it looks like I did not write anything from this account in the last month. There appear to be no author rewards.

My power-up report

I have been maintaining this sheet for quite some time. I have a script that can prepare and give this data from Hive through Hive SQL but I have been maintaining this file and this looks handy to me to update it every month. I'm glad to see a bigger number updated for this month. I still have some thoughts about profit booking but at the same time, I also wanted to grow my account. So somewhere in between, I have to find a balance. Let's see how it goes.
