Greetings friends!

Today, many of us have pots with blooming orchids on the windowsills, but there was a time when it seemed like something outrageous, fantastic.

A series of postage stamps Tropical Orchids, issued on the island of Cuba in 1972, from the time that I mentioned.

At best, flower lovers could be content with contemplating cacti, aloe, violets, at best asparagus and begonias.

At that time, not everyone could afford exotic plants, especially the inhabitants of the former USSR.

So this series of postage stamps looked like an appetizing gingerbread behind glass that you don't have access to.

On the first postage stamp, which received a denomination of 1 Cuban centavo, we see the beautiful Brassocattleya Sindorossiana.

A used postage stamp that has been removed from a postage envelope can be purchased for 11 US cents, so I would guess that a canceled postage stamp in perfect condition with intact adhesive may cost more than one US dollar.

Let's take a look at this postage stamp.

For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
