Greetings friends!

I think that all of you have read the book by Arthur Conan Doyle called "The Lost World", and if you have not read the book, then you watched the film adaptations in the form of feature films and television series.

According to the plot of the book, the researchers had to go deep into the Amazon in order to achieve their goal and see previously undescribed species of animals.

But, sometimes, such a lost world will be under your feet, and there is no need to make dangerous journeys in order to shed light on interesting species of animals, share complete information about their appearance, size, habitat, food preferences and everything related to their lives.

Such information is needed by a turtle called Cuban Slider (Chrysemys decussata), which we see on the eponymous postage stamp from a series of Turtles postage stamps issued on the island of Cuba in 1983.

Yes, there is information that this is not a very large turtle that lives near the freshwater bodies of the island of Cuba.

It is possible that she lives on the neighboring islands, Haiti and Jamaica, but there is no such information.

If you have been to the island of Cuba, or live there and met this animal, you have a good chance to share interesting information with the world, I think it will be in the top of Google, lol.

If it were not for this postage stamp in my collection, I would never have known about the existence of this species of turtles.

Let's take a look at this postage stamp.
