Greetings friends!

Every day when I write a post about postage stamps, I mentally travel to the country where the postage stamp was issued and at the time this event happened.

Some postage stamps are closely related to my personal history, the history of my family and can remind of people who are no longer alive.

A postage stamp with a denomination of 16 kopecks of the USSR from a series of postage stamps World Fair "EXPO-75", Okinawa issued in the USSR in 1975 depicts Red King Crab (Paralithodes camtschaticus), or Kamchatka crab.

My mother was born in Kamchatka, on the peninsula, which gave the name to this arthropod inhabitant of the cold seas of the Far East.

I will soon change fifty years, but I could not get to my historical homeland, Kamchatka, very far from where I am.

I don’t know, maybe one day, I will see the sea, along the shore of which my mother walked.

Recently, my children asked me what the king crab tastes like. I ate it only in canned form, in the days of the Soviet Union, it was not the most scarce product. But, today, crab meat has passed into the category of products that one can only dream of, because its price bites strongly and is comparable to the price of red caviar.

But, if I have the opportunity to be in Kamchatka, I will try to catch a crab and cook it for my children.

This postage stamp has received 5,660,000 copies in galleries.

Let's take a look at this postage stamp.

I edited a photo in the program PhotoDirector, which I also installed on my smartphone.
For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
