RE: Hive is Community

I agree. The whole picture and feel is a bit different since I started in early 2018. I still see some crap getting votes from appreciator and that ticks me off a bit. BUT I redirect that frustration and just ignore it. When the votes stop, they'll vanish into thin air along with their single photos and 25 word posts.

As for the other end of things, the communities.. It took a while to gain traction, but I LOVE what it has grown into. I feel like I am home.

That is awesome to hear! I know what you mean about appreciator, but then again sometimes I get those votes from them and it feels pretty darn good! :)

It does. I don't get those votes often, from any of the wales. I stopped caring a while ago. Not worth the thought really. I just feel like that sort of bot voting cheapens our genuine efforts. I DO appreciate the curation efforts of those like Curangel, Qurator, OCDB etc. I like the fact that someone had to read the content and recommend it for curation, rather than an auto upvote due to geographic location or timing the post release.

It's nice to feel good now and again.

I guess I never really thought of it like that. I'd probably be happy and never give it a second thought if one of those whales started autovoting me. I honestly feel like my content deserves it and after four years of scraping by I have earned it. You as well. I understand what you are saying though about people actually reading your posts.
