MetaMask wallet hack revealed and how to avoid having your funds stolen

Metamask wallet is easy to use as an extension from the browser, but if we don't pay attention to the entities that we give access to it can be hacked pretty easily. Smart contracts and approving transactions without looking into their details might get access to our funds and steal the funds behind the scenes. Here is a video that was pointed out to me that explains how somebody lost more than $12,000 and considering that we had a case also in our community I thought of sharing it. It has a YouTube video with the details on that.

The soft wallets are easy to use but in some cases might not be too transparent with the transactions that are performed and the approvals that we give to certain entities. Hope this helps others pay more attention, look in more depth when transactions are approved and not jump so easy on claimdrops and dubious projects that promise moon returns.

Yikes! That is pretty scary for anyone with a significant amount of crypto in a soft wallet. Beware!

As secure as blockchain finances are, we are often our own worst enemies always looking for that pie in the sky.
I agree we have to be as careful with our crypto as we are with our homes.
