The secret on the Hive blockchain is that you got to stick with it

avatar

I will just put the secret on the Hive blockchain wide in the open - basically, all you got to do is stick with it day after day. You need to get out of bed in the morning, work it, work it and repeat it all over again. Content creation and curation need to be now part of your daily routine and a habit that never stops. And by doing so you will only grow to a point where that is sustainable on its own and the returns are more meaningful. And that can lead also to financial independence and a way of living on and out of the Hive blockchain.

I think is human nature to get lazy and lose interest in something, but in those moments we lose the most without knowing. By sticking with it, being present day after day, and doing our daily routine on the Hive blockchain we'll make sure that we'll be consistently rewarded and grow our influence and assets all over again. We've all started from zero and at some point, we can get to hero. It is not easy, but by doing that we will reach a phase where it will all be worth it.

I am fighting myself sometimes to be present, create content, and curate. There are cases when the motivation flies away and also I feel less inspired. But I try to compensate for such moments with others when I am full of energy and ideas are rushing into my head. For example, I got to write this post after watching an episode from Gold Rush and seeing how important was to make the most of the gold mining season as the weather turns against you and you simply cannot work anymore. And this is a parallel that we can make also with the Hive blockchain where we need to harvest the rewards consistently to make the most of it and whether any bear markets or harsh times.

That's one secret that is now there in the open and I wonder what other secrets you might be holding for being successful on the Hive blockchain. I challenge you to surprise us with any tips that help grow one's account and push it forward!

Yep. Persistence is key. To Hive and every successful venture.

Quite true, it is like we are having our own ventures and businesses on the Hive blockchain and need to nurture them each day.

Man it takes a lot of work and consistancy..but because of this, it does pay off. As long as it is fun..we are good right?

We just have to keep working hard here on hive because it is sustainable

Indeed, consistency leads to sustainability in the long term. If we grow enough at some point we can be more passive, but until that happens we need to work, work, work.

from Gold Rush and seeing how important was to make the most of the gold mining season as the weather turns against you and you simply cannot work anymore.

Watched that show too. And that is actually a pretty good comparison!

Yeap, mining gold or mining crypto is quite similar. And both require heavy work and consistency!

Yes. And if one of their main machines brakes down, everything stops. Same for me if my computer would brake now and as broke as I am, it would be a disaster. 😃

Make things interesting and be consistent on Hive. Convince yourself that you will move forward, no matter what comes on your way!

Yeah, we need to be strong mentally and be here day after day and contribute. This is the only way to get where we want sooner rather than later.

Showing up everyday on Hive is becoming a second nature to me, not fully there yet because a day sometimes passes without me logging in on Hive. Trying to build momentum in the early days is always hard.

I think I'll also add the willingness to learn and understand the ecosystem, what’s it about, it's capabilities and potentials. The more you understand a thing, the better you're able to make the most out of it.

Yeah, I feel you on that. But if you think that once you will rank up and have a hefty Hive Power and even HBD in Savings you can relax more and live more passively, that should motivate you more.

It really is that simple...but yes, simple in theory doesn't necessarily mean easy in action...

Indeed, that requires a steady routine and simply pushing on when everything tells you not to.

Exactly what I've been doing for close to 5 years. This thing is more addictive than sugar.

You are right on that, addictive and sweet. Although in these days, sugar is now more expensive than Hive :))))

I can relate to what you are saying. I created my account long back but now I am getting more active here. It's a learning and fun experience.

Through consistency, we grow our account and through that, we are getting more and more from curation.

I read through the comments and everyone is right. You need patience & consistency, show up daily and contribute, make a few comments, curate and make some posts several times a week if not daily. I even agree with @brando28, cause my main computer is old & acts up quite often, it runs very slow most of the time and it frustrates me greatly, while I have other devices none seem to do what my computer can do, besides this is where all my files are.

Anyways, my secret to give is to connect with as many people as possible and learn all you can about several communities & don't be scared to join contests & challenges. Also, invest in icome tokens (Index, Bro, Dhedge) & tipping tokens ( CTP, PIZZA). Lastly, build your HBD & HBD savings, delegate to some initiatives and look at diesel pools.

I've done all these things except the diesel pools which I'm learning about now.

Wise words @successchar !
Pools still remain an uncharted territory for me but other than that I'm all over the place 😊

Well said! I've been on Hive for about 2.5 months and have crushed all the HP goals I've set, but it isn't because of my content, it's the time I put in! I do my best to post every day, comment on the work of others, and in general be present. People get too focused on the little numbers on the corners of their posts, and miss the true success here. It's easy to get burnt out looking for a quick couple bucks, but the value of any Hive collected now won't be known for many years for those who are here for the community aspect 😁 That's my little .02 minnow opinion !LOLZ !PIZZA

I agree that all you need to do is show up every single day. As long as you do that and build, it will grow bigger. In a way, it's tough to stay relevant and grow a lot if you aren't active and willing to engage with others.

Being consistent really is the key. But for new accounts, it's a bit difficult to stick to Hive, especially when the rewards are not coming as they thought. The entitlement syndrome coupled with comparison to others who have worked their way up years before they arrived makes them give up at just the beginning. They forget that if they just keep showing up, and putting in the work, they also could be just like the people they look up to now in the future.
