Larynx token airdrop, 8 days to go and airdrop fever

Yesterday the 3Speak team handled the Hive chat program on Twitter. Through a series of questions, the community was able to learn a thing or two about the project.

First of all, I learned that the unclaimed tokens will not be sent to me. I also learned that @trumpman is the king of shitcoins but despite how impressive these two bits are, there's still more.

I learned that the airdrop that was originally scheduled to be claimed through the 3speak application will no longer be claimed there. The word is that a separate website for claiming tokens is being created.

I also learned that the airdrop will start sometime next month. That gives everyone enough time to prepare for the airdrop.

I also learned that the airdrop will be done once a month for 12 months. So everyone receives 12 airdrops throughout the year. In Nigeria, we call that monthly salary.

The airdrop will be going to everyone holding liquid Hive, Hive power, and potentially those with Swap.hive in liquidity pool on Tribal Dex.

At the time of writing, I have a small amount of swap.hive in a liquidity pool with some DEC. I intend to leave it as it is to check how that pans out.

So, just continue to stack hive and hive power towards the snapshot on the 6th. After that, you keep your ears down for more information about how to claim your tokens.

Airdrops turn to income

The SPS airdrop is basically income for many people like me but it is just one of the numerous airdrops we receive around here. Throughout the years, members of hive community have been privy to a variety of airdrops for holding various assets.

This trend looks set to continue as normal, as we're now edging closer to the Ragnarok airdrop, as well as the Larynx token airdrop. Both projects are from slightly different teams that seem to share resources between themselves.

One other airdrop I'm looking forward to but not really holding my breath for is the Splinterlands airdrop card that comes at the end of this sales round. Judging by the pace of purchases, I don't think we'll get to 3 million packs(2 million for this round) before the time limit expires.

This either means the wells have dried up or most people are stacking resources towards the general sale where vouchers will only be needed for bonus packs. My mind tells me that it's the latter case that's the real situation.

Purchasing packs puts you in a position to once again benefit from further NFT airdrops within the game. If my dream comes true, I'll finish the Chaos Legion sale with up to 1000 packs purchased.

That number of packs will cost me $4k in total but that's a risk I'm willing to take.

The plan is to buy the first 250 packs and then open up like 60 of them to see what I get. If my luck shines and I pick up some excellent gold foils, I'll sell them, regroup and then buy more packs with the proceeds.

If I rinse and repeat the aforementioned process like 5 times, I'll have gotten up to 1k packs. Right now, I only have 62 packs. Add that to the 250 I'll buy soon, that gives me 312 packs. SO I need to buy 688 more packs to reach my target.

If my plan works out, I'll have bought all the packs and still be in some profit. Unfortunately, this plan is heavily dependent on luck, since I'm hoping to pull some legendary gold foils.

I'll continue tweaking my plans to suit my requirements as we get closer to the airdrop day. Today is the end of the double voucher booster day, so subsequently, we'll receive a smaller amount of voucher tokens from the voucher drop.

Right now, I have 19.8 vouchers at my disposal and with one more airdrop coming, I'll end the double voucher with slightly more than 22 vouchers. I need 3 more vouchers to cover the 25 bonus packs I'll receive for buying 250 packs initially.

Conclusion

It's hard to scroll through hive and not see someone talking about one airdrop or the other. There's a lot of excitement in the air and that is reflecting on the price of hive right now.

Hive is currently trading at the $1.7 range and that's a fair price. However, I know it could be better and that will be partly dependent on the general success of Larynx and Ragnarok NFTs.

Assuming the aforementioned airdrops turn out to be in high demand, that will positively influence the price of Hive in the short term. I also reckon that the Larynx token airdrop that will span a year will have a more lasting effect on the price of hive.

Only time will tell how things go. However, at the end of the day, the hive community wins and that's all that matters.
