Low volume, Polycub and 3 days until general sale

I woke up this morning to a wonderful surprise in my Hive-engine wallet. I noticed that my wallet value had risen by up to $600 and I was excited.

My first thought is that it was perhaps some new airdrop but there was no new token in my collection. It turned out it was Dhedge token that had pumped.

Dhedge is a token that I minted some months ago because of the dividend payment.

When you hold the token, you receive daily airdrops of different tokens including Leo, archon, SPT and Hive.

I like the idea of passive income and would hold on to these tokens till infinity.

No exit

The only problem with these sorts of projects is that they often have very limited trading volume. Assuming I wanted to sell my Dhedge and leave, the only way to really gain anything from it is an over-the-counter trade with someone that knows the true potential.

In the market, people don't value it or maybe don't know about it. I don't think it really matters if the project continues to pay dividends to holders though.

In the crypto market, there are a lot of tokens that tend to give false hope. You'll look at your wallet and see hundreds or even thousands of dollars, thinking you're rich.

Understanding how this works might save you from heartache and overthinking.

The market determines the value of assets. So if I buy a very tiny fraction of some asset at a few cents and I'm the only one trading it, my tiny investment is going to have a huge impact on the market.

If that tiny trade was at an expensive rate, then that asset will most likely be valued close to the rate I traded it.

These sorts of activities lead to a false image in the market. I'm not saying it's bad or good, I'm just saying what it is to let people know that sometimes the value of your wallet is an impostor.

The reality in most cases lies in the buy orders. When you look way down the list, you'll eventually find buy orders that could fill your sell request, and most times they'll be at rates that are way down the ranking.

Adding more Cub Liquidity

As we draw closer to the Polycub airdrop, I keep thinking of ways that I can squeeze out more profit from my current cub holding. The only way is to devise ways to accumulate more.

Right now, the price of Cub tokens is at a pretty low level, so either holding or adding to Cub-based liquidity pools is pretty cheap.

I spent a couple of days farming slightly over 500 cub tokens and the dollar value is about $156. So at this price of cub, I need a few BUSD or BNB to add to liquidity pools.

I intend to take advantage of this discount by adding more to the liquidity pools, rather than just hold the cub in kingdom. That was my initial decision but I'm reconsidering it and going to just pool it instead.

The pools offer better and faster interest rates for liquidity pool investment. That's going to be a major boost for the Polycub airdrop.

3 days until general sale

Every day is basically a countdown until the general sale of Chaos Legion packs. With each passing day, I accumulate more SPlinterlands credits that I'll push towards my target of 250 packs initially and another 750 before the sale ends.

At the current pace of this round, and the general situation in the market, I've decided to revise my prediction that the general sale will last one week.

There's a lot of fear in the market these days, and anybody that's not a strong believer isn't buying. Luckily for us, SPlinterlands has a lot of strong believers but I think some part of the market has been shaking out due to the widespread correction across the market.

Thanks to that aforementioned situation, I expect the general sale of roughly 13 million packs to span a 2-month period.

The crypto market is constantly changing, so you have to be alert. Within the two-month period, it is also possible for assets to start pumping again and that could hasten the pace of pack purchases.

However, projecting from the way things are today, it is hard to see all the packs simply just get vapourised by demand. A lot of investors will be cautious because of the general state of the market.

This gives us extra time to accumulate towards the general sale. We'll see how things go and I hope the odds will be in our favour.

I have found especially on Hive that people really devalue mining tokens. We should all be Hodling these tokens forever, but they rarely have a great resale value.
When I buy mining tokens I plan on keeping them forever lol
