Budgeting Your Business
Think about what YOUR Goal really is!
Just like any other venture in life, starting an Internet Marketing Business is a step that you must take seriously.
First, you will need to decide what your goals are in the business.
Are you looking for a hobby type of business, where you can make a few hundred dollars a month, or are you looking for a business that can eventually give you a full-time income from home?
Once you decide on what you are looking for in your business, then you can begin to move forward with it.
If you are looking at a hobby type business, then you want to try and put in about ten hours a week with your business.
If you are looking for a life altering type of income, then you will want to plan on at least twenty to thirty hours a week.
This may seem like a lot of time, but most of us have more time than we realize, once we start to budget out our time more wisely.
Unlike a Brick-and-Mortar business, we have the luxury of being able to work on our business anywhere we have an internet connection.
Setting up a financial budget can get a little more interesting. Even if you want a hobby type business, you do not want it to become a financial drain on your personal budget.
There are many ways to advertise for free on the internet, you just need to find the best options for you and your business. We will cover that topic in more detail in the advertising post.
Items to consider for your budget would include some standard recurring expenses.
An Autoresponder is a must have for list building. It will be your platform for your list. There are several options available to you but the one I recommend is Traffic Wave. Traffic Wave is a flat monthly fee no matter how larger you list grows. It also has a built-in affiliate program where you can earn money for referring others to the program. This program can help you pay for your autoresponder cost.
A central training hub like Click Track Profit which will teach you all about affiliate marketing in detail. The best part is that you can start CTP for free and still take advantage of the training modules. They will even give you a FREE lead capture page included with the free membership.
A traffic delivery system. There are numerous options as discussed previously but the number one program I recommend is List Nerds Mailer. You can start with a free membership here as well and will be able to send out one email a week based on your credits earned from reading other emails.
These are your three primary programs and expenses that you will need to get started.

It is still way easier to have a reasonable budget for an online business than a brick and mortar. Remember Jon Olson's Pizza Plan? I wish they'd revive that one. Could add in time allocation as well.

As you may know I still haven't dedicated my time to some of these things :)
I have to admit I signed up on click track profit but never watched one video.
I did build a list though :) and I even made 2 sales. I will be the one doing it the other way around, which is often the case but more effective with my brain :)
I recommend you keep doing what you are doing because it is WORKING!
