Greeting,
I am all onboard concerning your comment about the lucky people are doing something they are passionate about. I've been asking my kiddos forever and a day, "What are some things you love to do and are passionate about? Okay great, lets try and find out how you can make a living from those passions. Chances are, you probably are not going to find a bag of money laying out on the side of the road...:)
This is the post I will be submitting to @dreemport for curation.

I am so glad to read about your approach with your kiddos...for two reasons.

  • Firstly by encouraging them to find something they love and are passionate about. So often we see how parents try to force their children in a direction that they as parents want to see their children go, with no consideration of what the children's interests are...
  • Secondly, by encouraging them to find something they are passionate about and doing something they love doing, they will be more committed and dedicated to what they do and it will be spontaneous.

That, I believe will present them with either the opportunity to work for themselves or "job security" if employed by someone else due to their passion and commitment. Due to that natural commitment, people will want to either do business with them or employ them versus just going after "job security" whether they like it or not.

In my opinion, "job security" is non-existent today, especially if you don't have a passion for what you are doing.

Thank you so much for your input, for supporting my work, and for submitting my post to @dreemport. I really do appreciate it!
